Destiny 2: Forsaken players have glitched into the Last Wish raid early

The Last Wish raid in Destiny 2: Forsaken begins this Friday. However, over the weekend, players found a way into the raid’s entrance and stumbled upon a hidden chest. Inside, players were able to claim early drops from the unreleased raid, as well as poke around a bit more.

The glitch involves going under the world in Forsaken’s Dreaming City location. Players then have to do some serious jumping and hit certain loading walls just right, otherwise they’ll be killed or become stuck, needing to start over again. But players who’ve managed to push their way through have essentially confused the game, making it believe that the players have loaded into the Last Wish raid.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 team wants to cater to every shooter fan

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is an unusual game. There is no simple elevator pitch to draw people in; the game doesn’t even have a single-player campaign. However, Black Ops 4 developer Treyarch is hoping that doesn’t matter. The studio’s goal is to replace the single-player/multiplayer binary with such a carefully designed variety of modes and ways to play that all fans will be catered to in some form.

That’s a very ambitious goal, and it may make the game hard to market. The team at Treyarch wasn’t even sure its prototypes would ultimately become a Call of Duty game until deciding to turn Black Ops 4 into a love letter to all the things the series does well with multiplayer modes.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has stronger role-playing elements

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is juggling a lot. It flirts with comedy and tragedy, serves up the stealth that the series is known for, and overhauls and improves straightforward melee combat. Odyssey also doubles down on RPG elements in both combat and dialogue choice — in a year when everyone is wheezing about the death of single-player games.

Odyssey is also in uncharted territory. It takes places some 300-plus years before Assassin’s Creed Origins — the game in which the Brotherhood of Assassins is born, which raises the question, “Where are we now?”

Pokémon Go’s region-exclusive Pokémon coming worldwide — for a limited time

Pokémon Go’s next event is a big one for anyone in need of hard-to-find Pokémon. Called the Ultra Bonus Event, the campaign will send four different legendary Pokémon back into Raid Battles, including one for the first time.

But perhaps more exciting is that Niantic will also make several Pokémon almost impossible to obtain in the West available as part of the event. Four different regional exclusives can be found in Pokémon Eggs through the end of the month, which is a big deal for anyone without the means to travel.

Left Alive’s new trailer shows off a future full of guns and mechs

Developer Square Enix debuted a new trailer for survival game Left Alive during Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show 2018 press conference.

The trailer shows off the game’s world, which appears to be a war-torn city caught in the middle of a conflict between two armies. Although not the focus of the footage, giant mechs that wander the streets do appear a few times, hinting — as did the original teaser — that mechs could play a large role in the game’s combat.

Project Awakening pits soldiers against dragons in one beautiful action-RPG

CyGames, best known for mobile titles like Granblue Fantasy, announced one of its first console-exclusive games ahead of this year’s Tokyo Game Show: Project Awakening. The PlayStation 4 game, which is heading to both Japan and the U.S, looks stunning in its first trailer, even if it only hints at what the story could be about.

The description for the short clip only tells us this: “It’s time for the wolves of war to awaken.” It seems like our hero is contending with those “wolves,” whoever they are. Perhaps the giant dragon-monster he’s taken on is one of them?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is coming back on the Nintendo Switch and PS4

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, one of the trickiest of the classic Final Fantasy games to play “correctly,” is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch as Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. You can watch the game’s first trailer at the top of this post.

The original Crystal Chronicles was released back in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube, and required four Game Boy Advanced systems and link cables to play the full multiplayer experience. One character had to carry the crystal chalice that would allow your party to move through the poisonous miasma that covered the world, although the chalice could also be put down in order to fight.
