Carbine Studios’ sci-fi massively multiplayer online game, WildStar, will shut down on Nov. 28, the studio confirmed in an update posted to its website on Wednesday.

According to the studio, which owner NCsoft confirmed it was shutting down earlier this month, it’s “going to do everything we can to honor the WildStar community, and show thanks for your support.” That means a series of events running through the game’s termination in November. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening:

Sea of Thieves gets its biggest expansion yet in Forsaken Shores

At first glance, Forsaken Shores is the most dramatic expansion to the world of Sea of Thieves yet. It expands the map, taking us to the new region of Devil’s Roar, a place full of volcanoes, ash and magma. It’s a very new look for Sea of Thieves, but the game has quietly been evolving and building on itself with the previous expansions, The Hungering Deep and Cursed Sails, along with the more regular Bilge Rat Adventures.

Just over six months after Sea of Thieves’ release, the game has reinvented itself and fleshed out a world that many players found too limited at launch. Forsaken Shores marks a new era of Sea of Thieves, and it’s exciting the impact the expansion will have on the existing game... as well as what it means for the future of this wild pirate sandbox title.

Fortnite Season 6 patch v6.0 change list

Epic seems to have made some massive changes to the Fortnite map in the newly launched Season 6, giving everything a midnight feel to it, but those aren’t the only changes the developers are bringing to the game this season.

Alongside the new creepier map, Epic has also made a few big changes to which weapons are in the game, even going so far as to vault some fan favorites like Impulse Grenades, and adding a new item that allows players to turn invisible and phase through solid objects. Not everything about this patch is dark and scary though. Epic has also added pets to the game as loyal companions that will accompany players through each game to balance things out.

5 things to know about Fortnite Season 6

Fortnite Season 6 is here, and it brings with it a whole host of unexpected changes. Unlike last season, where we had some expectation of what the new season’s first patch might hold, Season 6 was almost a completely mystery.

That’s because there wasn’t much to say about this season without giving it all away. The entire Fortnite island seems to have undergone some massive changes. Instead of a cartoon paradise, our new island is more like a Halloween horror-show. That means floating islands, giant castles and more scary looking additions are waiting everywhere you look.

Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass revealed

Fortnite’s brand new season is here, and that means a new Battle Pass full of cosmetic goodness is coming along with it.

This season’s Battle Pass arrives with a fresh Halloween horror theme, which doesn’t quite fit the speculation players were laying out prior to Season 6’s release on Thursday morning. Aside from the brand new theme, which is pretty different from Season 5’s historical-ish theme and Season 4’s superheroes, it appears that the Battle Pass looks pretty similar to what players are used to.

Darth Vader gets his own VR game series from Lucasfilm and Ninja Theory

Darth Vader will star in a new episodic series of Star Wars virtual reality games, Vader Immortal, for Oculus’ new all-in-one stand-alone headset, the Oculus Quest. Oculus and ILMxLAB announced the new series today during the Oculus Connect keynote.

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will span three episodes. The teaser trailer for Episode I of that series doesn’t reveal much, but players will visit Vader’s castle on Mustafar, the volcanic planet featured in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Players will also apparently wield a lightsaber and do battle (or train with) a droid.
