Meet Legendary Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl’s new Ramanas Park

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will feature a new facility where players who have made it into the game’s hall of fame can summon Legendary Pokémon. A trailer on Wednesday showed off Ramanas Park, and what players can expect to find there when the games launch on Nov. 19.

Legendary Pokémon will appear on pedestals within the park after players find the proper slate out in the Sinnoh region. “It’s unclear exactly how these slates can be obtained,” The Pokémon Company said in one last rundown of features before release day.

Meet the cast of Netflix’s live-action One Piece by singing the Pirate Rap with us

Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation has found its Straw Hat gang, the first major milestone in its quest to adapt one of the most popular and long-running anime of all time into a second, fleshier streaming hit. Produced in partnership with Tomorrow Studios (much like the forthcoming live-action Cowboy Bebop), One Piece hopes to win over fans new and old by way of a vibrant cast, and the blessing and involvement of manga creator Eiichiro Oda, who serves as an Executive Producer on the new show.

Here is that cast, presented via the lyrics of the legendary Pirate Rap:

Dead by Daylight’s next chapter stars a terrifying artist and her murder of crows

A new original chapter is coming to Dead by Daylight, and it really does prove the pen is mightier than the sword. The two previous chapters, Season of the Witch and Hellraiser, each introduced one character apiece. The next chapter, Portrait of a Murder, will return to the format of having one Killer and one Survivor available for players to unlock, as well as a new map.

The new map has some interesting surreal architecture and a ton of crows. The Forsaken Boneyard is set in the Chilean desert, and it’s the home to our newest Killer.

Caitlyn and Jayce arrive in League of Legends: Wild Rift’s new event

League of Legends’s mobile port Wild Rift launched with a smaller roster of champions than the PC version, but new members of the cast show up all the time. Sometimes, they launch concurrently with their PC equivalent, like the rogue Sentinel Akshan. More often, they arrive alongside some new event or promotion. That’s the case for Caitlyn and Jayce, who are launching in Wild Rift today alongside the Target Practice event.

Caitlyn and Jayce are both veterans of the PC version of the game, and they’re also main characters in the Netflix series Arcane. Players can earn both of these champions for free by playing the event, or purchase them with either blue motes or real money currency.

Among Us’ new update includes roles, a store, and achievements — and it’s live now

Tuesday’s Among Us presentation started off with a bang. An assembly of the game’s cute little beans gathered in an auditorium, where a couple of leaders proceeded to show off some of the game’s newest features, included in a hefty update that is now live across all platforms. This update includes new roles for Crewmates, achievements, a storefront with cosmetics, and Cosmicubes.

Among Us will have a storefront now, full of hats, skins, pets, visors, nameplate panels, and bundles that include multiple cosmetics. Playing the game gives players XP, pods, and beans. Beans are a free-to-play currency that unlocks store items, or players can spend real money on stars for immediate unlocks.

Legends of Runeterra’s new single-player mode is fan service at its best

Legends of Runeterra’s new single-player mode is fan service at its best

Legends of Runeterra is a gorgeous look into the world of League of Legends, with lots of world-building at every turn. The champions come with their own supporting casts, extended art scenes, and special mechanics. But at the end of the day, it’s still a competitive card game — the lore and art is a supporting feature to the core gameplay. The game’s new single-player mode changes this though; the Path of Champions is a narrative campaign.

The Path of Champions has the player choose one of a few starting characters from League of Legends lore. While features like the Lab of Legends offered players the ability to go through a single-player roguelike mode, the Path is much more focused on individual stories. None of these are canon; they’re more like fun ‘what if?’ narratives that let the protagonist run wild.

A League of Legends rhythm game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix

League of Legends is expanding to a new genre: the rhythm platformer. Riot Games and developer Choice Provisions, the creator of the Bit.Trip series, announced Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story on Tuesday, which is coming to Nintendo Switch and Windows PC on Nov. 16, followed by a version for Netflix’s mobile games service “soon.”

Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story stars Ziggs, the League champion known for his “Hexplosives” expertise. Players bomb-jump and attack enemies to the beat, avoiding obstacles (and League champion Heimerdinger) and chaining together explosions to a rhythmic soundtrack. You can see Ziggs in rhythm-runner action in the debut trailer for Hextech Mayhem above.

Borderlands’ Tiny Tina DLC gets stand-alone release to prep you for Wonderlands

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, the campaign extension for 2013’s Borderlands 2, will relaunch Tuesday as a stand-alone title for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. The game is $9.99 on consoles and Steam, and it will be free on the Epic Games Store for one week until Nov. 16.

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure is also a preview, somewhat, to the forthcoming spinoff Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, coming in March for the same platforms, plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Both games involve the irascible teenage demolitions expert Tiny Tina (Ashly Burch) as the games master for an in-world tabletop role-playing game called Bunkers and Badasses.
