Bubsy is back, again, in a new game from the Bit.Trip developers

It’s been one year since the release of Bubsy the Bobcat’s last game, Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, so apparently we’re due for a new one. Next year, we’ll get an all-new Bubsy — Bubsy: Paws on Fire, which is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

Bubsy’s next game is being developed by Choice Provisions, the studio behind the Bit.Trip series and space survival game Tharsis. Choice Provisions’ take on Bubsy will include four playable characters (Bubsy, The Woolie, Arnold and Virgil Reality), more than 100 levels, “a unique combo system” and an in-game shop with cosmetic items, letting you outfit Bubsy in something other than a T-shirt.

MediEvil follows the story of Sir Dan, an unlikely champion who met an unfortunate end on the field of battle,” Shawn Layden, chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, said on the PlayStation Blog. “He receives a chance at redemption when his nemesis, the evil sorcerer Lord Zarok, accidentally resurrects him 100 years after that fateful day. Lord Zarok seeks to conquer the Kingdom of Gallowmere, and only the skeletal Sir Dan stands between Zarok’s army of the undead and the kingdom he swore to protect.”

Undertale creator's new game is Deltarune, a mysterious surprise

Designer Toby Fox updated both his personal and the Undertale Twitter accounts yesterday with a series of cryptic tweets: In 24 hours, something was coming. Those who guessed that it was a new game of some sort appear to be right, as the countdown has ended with the launch of Deltarune.

It’s a mystery to us what this game is as of now, because Fox neglected to say much. There's some Undertale tie here, obviously; the Delta Rune is a symbol commonly seen in Undertale, most notably on the chest of Toriel, one of its most important characters. And its title, Deltarune, is an anagram of Undertale. But its website bears several warnings in lieu of actual gameplay or story details. Deltarune is a free download for Mac OS X and Windows PC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Oct. 30 Blackout change list

The latest patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode is here, and there isn’t anything too groundbreaking about it. But the mode is getting a few important bug fixes and quality-of-life updates.

Perhaps the biggest change is coming to the mode’s armor, which is going to let a little bit more damage pass through now. While complaints about the mode have been limited, players with armor that’s a little bit too strong has come up a few times from the community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been out for a few weeks now, and Treyarch has just released the game’s biggest patch yet.

While the company has been consistently updating the game and fixing minor issues, this patch, out today, Oct. 30, aims to fix some of the larger balancing issues in the game, such as weapons that are too strong or operators that are getting played a little too often. Most importantly, this patch looks to fix some of the spawn issues that players have been running into since the game’s launch.

However, although ESPN has been available on gaming consoles for years — via the ESPN app on Xbox One and the WatchESPN app on PS4 — ESPN Plus has not been accessible through those apps until now.

Battlefield 1 leads Xbox Games With Gold for November

Battlefield 1 will be available free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers in November as part of the Games With Gold program, Microsoft announced Tuesday.

It’s a smart move by Microsoft and Battlefield publisher Electronic Arts — the next entry in the military franchise, the World War II shooter Battlefield 5, will debut Nov. 20. It’s the same thing Activision and Sony did in September, when Destiny 2 was free on PlayStation Plus during the month in which the game’s latest expansion, Forsaken, arrived.
