Breath of the Wild player turns Master Cycle into ultimate killing machine

The Zelda motorcycle is already a fine piece of machinery that allows players to attack enemies, but even so, there are limits to what players can do. Fortunately, Breath of the Wild glitch hunters are not beholden to petty things like “rules.”

I’ve become obsessed with tuissu’s Breath of the Wild footage, as the player has figured out how to make Link ride his Master Cycle while standing on it. This, in turn, allows tuissu to hold out a weapon — like say, an elemental sword — and absolutely wreak havoc on Link’s surroundings. tuissu merely has to touch Link’s enemies to light them up. It’s amazing to watch unfold:

Pro raiding guild Method claims victory in World of Warcraft’s newest raid

After a grueling and hotly contested two-week marathon through World of Warcraft’s newest raid, Azshara’s Eternal Palace, European guild Method won yet another Race to World First by downing Queen Azshara. The Race to World First became an esports-style competitive experience for viewers during the Battle for Azeroth expansion, and Azshara’s Eternal Palace proved to be the biggest stage yet for the world’s top guilds.

World of Warcraft raids have always been a way for the world’s top guilds to compete and see who can kill the final boss first, but in Battle for Azeroth that the Race became openly streamed and broadcast for entertainment purposes. Streaming progress through each boss fight of a raid has an inherent risk; guilds who stream expose strategy and intel to their opponents.

GTA Online’s rarest car can only be won in the casino

For years, Grand Theft Auto Online players have been obsessed with the Vapid Lost Slamvan, a vehicle that is unremarkable except for the fact that there is no normal way to obtain it. Players could use the Lost Slamvan in story missions, but they couldn’t actually keep the lowrider. Some players circumvented this through the use of glitches, but Rockstar was adamant about keeping the car blacklisted from fans. Los Santos residents soon discovered that placing the car into a garage guaranteed that the Lost Slamvan would be deleted from your inventory.

“The fact that it’s sexy as fuck is undeniable, but the fact that it was unobtainable made it extremely desirable,” said Dirty_Worka, leader of one of the Reaper Lords, a top GTA Online and Red Dead Online clan. The Lost Slamvan a variation on the base Slamvan, which can simply be purchased from the game. Unlike the basic version, the Lost Slamvan has tweaked tail lights, license plates, and liveries.

Heroes of the Storm is getting a new hero and ranked queue system

Since Blizzard announced it was scaling back development on its crossover MOBA Heroes of the Storm, the game has received two new heroes and tweaks for the existing roster. Today, Blizzard announced a new sweeping set of changes for Heroes of the Storm in both a new hero, who hails from an original setting within the Nexus, and a new ranked queue system.

Qhira is a melee Assassin. She’s a Nexusborn hero, which means she doesn’t come from an existing Blizzard property. She’s unique to Heroes of the Storm, and her development was anchored around her signature grappling hook and chainblade. Her abilities required some extra work and tech to work well, but the end result is a hero who rewards patience and has the potential to make big plays.

How many people are playing D&D compared to other tabletop RPGs?

Despite its huge cultural footprint, pen and paper role-playing games are a relatively tiny part of the larger tabletop games industry. Last week The Orr Group, the team behind the popular Roll20 virtual tabletop suite, published its latest numbers on who’s playing which tabletop RPGs online. It’s a rare look into the relative size of games like Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder.

Roll20 is a unique platform that allows players to share video, audio, and text chat alongside a shared tabletop experience. Users can roll virtual dice, move miniatures around on the screen, and even play with a flesh-and-blood dungeon master while logged in from anywhere in the world. It’s the most popular way to play tabletop RPGs online, and boasts more than four million registered accounts. As such it’s an excellent window into the larger trends in tabletop RPGs.

Fortnite pro removed from World Cup match for screen watching

Mark “Letw1k3” Danilov, a 14-year-old Russian player representing Gambit eSports, was removed from his final Fortnite World Cup match from the solo portion of the competition, Epic confirmed to Polygon. A retweet endorsed by Danilov claims that he quickly “peeked” over his monitor setup to view the spectator screens above, but an Epic Games representative says it happened more than once.

“After multiple warnings to the player, a penalty was assessed and he was removed from the match,” the representative said. “He was not disqualified and will not be fined.”

How well does Wolfenstein: Youngblood run on Nintendo Switch?

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is the sort of graphically intensive third-party game that doesn’t often make it to Nintendo Switch, but Bethesda has been releasing ports of its games on Nintendo’s portable for some time now. So how well does this Wolfenstein release hold up on the least powerful modern console?

Digital Foundry released a detailed video about how well the game runs on both Nintendo Switch and Xbox One X, and you can watch the whole thing at the top of this post if you want to see the game in action. The takeaways are pretty simple, however.

Tfue’s surprising performance at the Fortnite World Cup makes way for new stars

Turner “Tfue” Tenney is undoubtedly the most famous Fortnite player in the world — to wit, he is consistently one of the fastest-growing and most popular channels on Twitch. All eyes were on the blond star this weekend, as he qualified several times for the solo portion of the tournament.

You could say that he fed into the hype. Unlike his jersey-wearing competitors, the Floridian pro was wearing a daring leopard-print outfit. He talked his game up, too. When asked by a commentator how he prepared for the tournament, Tenney boasted that he was well-acquainted with playing under pressure.

An old friend returns in Madden NFL 20’s new story mode

Madden NFL 20’s new story/career mode is Face of the Franchise: QB1, replacing Longshot after two chapters. But it brings back the best character, and doesn’t make fans wait long to greet him, either.

Coach Jack Ford! And he’s voiced by Rus Blackwell, whose performance gave the character some emotional depth in 2017’s Madden NFL 18, where he reluctantly mentors Devin Wade through a reality show competition neither of them really trust.
