Microsoft has revealed some of the biggest games coming to Xbox Game Pass in May, and it looks like this may be one of the service’s most impressive months so far.

Things kick off on May 7 with DayZ, the open-world zombie survival game from Bohemia Interactive. That same day, players also get Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar’s latest offering lets players explore the American frontier with Arthur Morgan and his gang, or jump to Xbox Live for some wild-west fun in Red Dead Online.

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath expansion will continue the game’s story, add RoboCop

NetherRealm Studios will release Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, a continuation of the fighting game’s time-traveling story that will include new characters, on May 26. Aftermath will expand the roster with three fighters: Sheeva, Fujin, and new guest character RoboCop.

The story of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will pick up where the original game left off, with Liu Kang having (canonically) defeated Kronika, the time-manipulating antagonist responsible for futzing with the franchise’s timeline. Liu Kang is tasked with weaving a new timeline at the behest of Raiden, and with the assistance of characters like Shang Tsung, Fujin, Nightwolf, and Sheeva.

Call of Duty players are using Warzone’s helicopter for impressively pointless stunts

Call of Duty: Warzone just removed helicopters from the battle royale mode, but before that happened, a squad of noble heroes completed a quest nobody else was brave enough to attempt: lifting a jeep onto the stadium.

What’s so impressive and silly about this particular trick is that Warzone’s choppers aren’t designed to airlift trucks — instead, players are driving the jeep on top of the helicopter and hitching rides on the rotor blades.

In Call of Duty: Warzone, Infinity Ward replaced Plunder Trios with Blood Money Trios — a faster-paced version of the fabulous Plunder mode, where players always drop money when you kill them. The studio also disabled helicopters in the battle royale mode.

At least one former professional skateboarder says he’s been approached about a new video game in the Skate series. Jason Dill leaked the information during a recent episode of the podcast The Nine Club, which was first reported by Wccftech.

“I got a call from the EA people about 10 months ago,” Dill said. “And they said ‘Hey, we want to talk about the Skate game.’ I said, oh fine, that’s fine ... [They] said, basically, ‘Hey Jason, we want to do a mobile version of Skate 3.’ And I wrote back, and I said, ‘What else?’ She wrote back, ‘No, that’s it.’”

Microsoft lays out Xbox Series X plans for 2020

On Tuesday, Team Xbox recommitted itself to releasing the Xbox Series X in 2020 alongside a slate of new video games. The division of Microsoft outlined part of its roadmap, pegging monthly updates — called Xbox 20/20 — about the new console and the ecosystem of services that surrounds it.

“What was already going to be a once-in-a-generation year for gaming,” wrote corporate vice president Jerret West in a news release, “has become the year that challenged us all and tested every commitment we’ve made in the face of COVID-19. Difficult tests tend to reveal your true priorities, and for us they are the health and safety of our employees, our fans and partners. We also want to be transparent in letting our players know what we are doing and what we are thinking during such a crucial time.”
