In a surprise announcement Tuesday, publisher 2K made remastered versions of two games in the critically acclaimed Mafia trilogy available for immediate download. The news comes less than one week after the announcement of an upgraded version of all three games in the series, which are being sold together under the title Mafia: Trilogy.

Both Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition are available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam for those who pre-order Mafia: Trilogy prior to Aug. 28. Additionally, players who already own the original versions of those games on certain platforms will be granted immediate access to the new versions on those platforms. The offer also includes free and discounted add-on content for both titles.

The prequel to Cyberpunk 2077, the Cyberpunk Red tabletop RPG, is delayed

In January, fans learned that Cyberpunk 2077 would be delayed by five months to Sept. 17. Now comes word that the tabletop role-playing game, titled Cyberpunk Red, will also be delayed by at least a few months. The announcement was made in an official blog post by developer and publisher R. Talsorian Games.

“We’ll just come right out and say it,” said R. Talsorian in its post. “The TRPG industry got punched in the gut by the pandemic and there’s just no way we can release in June without compromising quality. We’re currently looking at summer’s end for a release but until the world calms down and things stop fluctuating, our crystal ball is full of fog.”

Call of Duty: Warzone’s mysterious vault door unlocked to reveal ... another vault door

When Call of Duty: Warzone launched in March, fans were immediately intrigued by a series of massive bunkers scattered across the map. Now, more than two months after the game first launched, those giant double doors can finally be opened. Inside players are finding massive piles of loot, but also more questions in need of answers.

The secret to opening the bunkers is a Red Access Card, an item that appeared only recently inside Legendary chests. If players use the keycard in the keypad just outside a bunker door, a light overhead turns on, and the doors swing inward with a puff of dust.

3 year after its release, Hidden Folks is getting new levels (and mouth sounds)

Developer Adriaan de Jongh announced Tuesday that his hand-drawn hidden object game, Hidden Folks, will get six new levels on June 4. The new update, called On Tour, will add six music-themed areas to the game, “with more than 70 things to find, new mouth sounds, and plenty of new clues with mildly amusing or straight up bad jokes,” de Jongh wrote in a post on Steam.

Hidden Folks was released in 2017 for iOS, Android, and PC. In 2018, it came to the Nintendo Switch. (Nintendo Switch players will have to wait for the On Tour update, though. De Jongh said players there will have to “wait a bit longer, as Nintendo is swamped.”)

Rainbow Six Siege’s new Operators revealed, House map being reworked

On Monday, Ubisoft revealed the next two operators coming to Rainbow Six Siege. An update, Operation Steel Wave, will include two new Operators — Ace and Melusi — and a reworked version of one of the game’s original maps, House. Players can try out the new patch on the game’s test server starting Tuesday, May 19.

The first of the new operators is Ace., an attacker with a new gadget called SELMA. Players can throw a SELMA at walls — barricaded or not — and the device will destroy panels. Depending on how high players throw SELMA will determine which panel it destroys first, as the device slowly rolls down the wall. Ace can use an AK-12 rifle or the M1014 shotgun.

Pokémon Go players will vote for June and July’s Community Day Pokémon

From May 24 until May 25, Pokémon Go players will be able to vote for the next two Community Day Pokémon. Weedle, Squirtle, Gastly, and Sandshrew will be the options in a Twitter poll. The winner will be the focus of the June Community Day and the runner-up will be the focus of the July Community Day.

If they win, Squirtle will learn Aura Sphere when evolved into a Blastoise, Weedle will learn Drill Run when evolved into a Beedrill, Sandshrew will learn Shadow Claw when evolved into Sandslash, and Gastly will learn Shadow Punch when evolved into a Gengar. While these moves may seem lackluster, they’re all pretty good for the PvP game mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s Plunder mode is for the fun-loving losers

When Infinity Ward launched Call of Duty: Warzone, its new battle royale offering, the game came with an alternate mode: Plunder. Here the goal is to earn as much money as possible and reach over $1,000,000. Players can complete objectives without the stress of having just a single life. It’s a mode for folks who don’t always want to (or can’t) tryhard their way to a victory in the battle royale mode — the people who don’t mind losing.

Polygon spoke to Joe Cecot and Geoffrey Smith, two multiplayer design directors at Infinity Ward, about the creation of Plunder and who they designed it for.

Mortal Kombat 11’s new Friendships are just what the game needed

If the grisly, entrails-shredding fatalities of Mortal Kombat 11 are just a little too much for you right now, the game’s upcoming Aftermath expansion will bring back a fluffier, fan-favorite finishing move: Friendships. A new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11’s Friendships offers a look at just how cheerful and silly things will get later this month (and gives you a Smash Mouth fix to start your week).

We’ve already seen Scorpion hugging a teddy bear and Kano throwing some shrimp on the barbie, but in NetherRealm Studios’ new Friendships trailer, we get a peek at more friendly finishing moves from Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Sindel, Skarlet, and The Terminator, who pulls off some sick motorcycle stunts with a smile. The Friendships trailer also confirms the return of Kidd Thunder, Raiden’s lil’ protégé, and offers the slightest of Batman teases for Joker’s Friendship.
