The Xbox Series X can stream and record gameplay in 4K at 60 fps

Microsoft has revealed a lot about its next-gen plans this week, confirming details about its smaller, cheaper console called the Xbox Series S. The company also released a tidbit of information about the system’s more powerful sibling, the Xbox Series X: It is capable of streaming gameplay and recording gameplay clips in 4K resolution at a frame rate of 60 frames per second, according to a fact sheet Microsoft provided to the media.

This is an upgrade over the current-gen Xbox One X, which can record Xbox Game DVR clips at 4K but is limited to 30 fps. Of course, it’ll be much easier to capture screenshots and gameplay on the next-gen Xboxes, thanks to the new Share button on the controller.

A Twitch news release says that Blevins will kick off his new partnership on Sept. 10 with a livestream on his old channel.

Game and Watch: Super Mario Bros. is pretty small in action

Last week, Nintendo announced Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. handheld to celebrate the mustachioed plumber’s 35th anniversary. But the original announcement didn’t show the (tiny) machine in action.

On Thursday, Nintendo released a trailer showing off Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. It starts with a charming look back at the Game & Watch systems of the ’80s, which the new Game & Watch takes direct inspiration from. People in the video then pull the modern device from various jacket pockets, revealing its tiny size. Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. is small, fitting in the palm of an average hand with room to curl your fingers around the edges.

Fortnite’s latest patch adds Stark Industries as a new location

Stark Industries has arrived in Fortnite, and Tony Stark’s entire campus is available for players to explore. Fortnite’s latest patch adds the genius Marvel superhero’s high-tech office as a new area on the map, along with a few other additions, including new AI-controlled enemies and loot.

As the Marvel-themed Fortnite Chapter 2 season 4 continues, more and more locations from the comics are making their way to the island, and this time around, that means Tony Stark’s headquarters. Stark Industries is on top of a giant piece of land that appears to have been teleported directly from some other corner of the Marvel Universe. The new piece of the Fortnite island is in the northeast part of the island, and has replaced Frenzy Farm.

Three Destiny 2 characters are seemingly killed off in a lore book

On Tuesday, Bungie launched the second half of Destiny 2: Season of Arrival’s final Exotic quest. Earlier in the season, players prepared some of the game’s older destinations to enter the Destiny Content Vault and leave the game when Bungie launches Destiny 2: Beyond Light on Nov. 10. On Sept. 8, players helped evacuate the remaining assets on Mars, Mercury, Titan, and Io. But not everybody made it out alive.

These four planets are some of the oldest in Destiny 2, entering the game in the Red War campaign at launch or within the game’s first two expansions in early 2018. And like every planet in Destiny 2, each of the evacuated planets had their own vendor character, each with their own story to tell and history. But of the four planetary NPCs players help in the Evacuation quest, only one seems to survive.
