The World Ends With You is finally getting a second game

The Nintendo DS classic, The World Ends With You, is finally getting a second game in what appears to be a prequel called Neo: The World Ends With You.

Based on the trailer, we can see a new batch of players sucked into the Reaper’s Game, meaning that they’ll have to fight for their lives using magical pins. Most of the characters are fresh faces, with some characters that fans will recognize from the original game, like Sho Minamimoto. While he was a reaper in The World Ends With You, it seems like he’s a player in the Reaper’s Game in this title, which is why we believe this game takes place before the original.

Black Ops Cold War’s new patch accidentally makes the MP5 overpowered again

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s first official patch is here. Unfortunately, it also reverted the much needed MP5 nerfs that came with the game’s first unheralded patch. But outside of bringing the game’s best gun back from the dead, Black Ops Cold War’s launch patch also brings in dozens of balance changes on its own.

Earlier this week, Treyarch nerfed the MP5, which had spent several days dominating every single multiplayer match. The gun was so strong that it was frequently the only weapon taken in certain matches. The nerf brought the gun’s power in line with the rest of the game by lowering its damage range and making its initial recoil a little worse. All of these changes have been reverted as of the patch the developer released on Friday. According to Treyarch’s patch notes, the change will be reintroduced in a future patch.

Animal Crossing mobile game now lets you snap cute AR pics with your villagers

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Nintendo’s mobile life simulation game, may have been overshadowed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons this year, but the Android and iOS game now has a major advantage over its Switch successor: the ability to take cute photos with your villagers using an augmented-reality camera mode.

AR Camera mode is one of two new augmented reality features available in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. As seen in the trailer above, Pocket Camp players can now drop their villagers (yes, even Isabelle!) into the real world for adorable photo ops. You can even drop furniture into scenes.

Warframe’s latest patch fleshes out its infested moon

Earlier this year, Digital Extremes added a new open world planet to their ninja flipping third-person looter shooter Warframe. The Infested moon of Deimos came loaded with lore, a new heavy mech that players can control instead of their Warframe, and open world challenges. The newest update is called Deimos: Arcana, and it further fleshes out the game’s spooky moon and its flowery inhabitants.

There are some new additions to the player’s arsenal. The Necramech is a slow, stompy alternative to Warframe’s usual lightning fast and lethal gameplay, giving players an extra choice. A new Necramech is also being added to the game, called Bonewidow. Bonewidow has extra armor and health, but fewer shields, and it carries a powerful sword. The Bonewidow and the original Necramech, the Voidrig, now vacuum up all the loot around it.

Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements revealed

Cyberpunk 2077 is only a few weeks away and we finally know exactly what kind of hardware you’ll need to run the PC version any way you want. On Friday, CD Projekt Red announced the game’s PC system requirements and gave players plenty of detail on what kind of hardware they will need to run the game on various settings, including with ray tracing enabled.

We already knew the Cyberpunk 2077’s minimum and recommended settings, which are both pretty reasonable. Even the “High” settings that CD Projekt Red has listed aren’t too bad. With just a RTX 2060 or a Radeon RX 5700 XT, you’ll be able to run the game on Ultra settings at 1440p. If you want to make the jump to 4K, you’ll need to bump your GPU all the way up to an Nvidia RTX 2080S, an RTX 3070, or a Radeon RX 6800 XT.

Grand Theft Auto Online’s new island heist comes with a submarine

Grand Theft Auto Online players have robbed prisons, casinos, and banks, but there’s a tempting new target coming to the game on Dec. 15. Rockstar Games is adding The Cayo Perico Heist, which takes place on a heavily guarded and luxurious private island.

Cayo Perico clearly builds on the heist infrastructure set up with the Diamond Casino Heist, which allowed players to choose their approach and set up their game plan in a series of missions before the heist itself. Cayo Perico, described as “one of the most secure private islands in the entire world,” takes it a step further by allowing players to pull the heist off solo. This is a big deal, as previously players have had to fill out their group in order to tackle a heist, which can mean dealing with random players or trying to round up a set of friends.

Dungeons & Dragons’ most famous tavern, The Yawning Portal, goes on sale in April

The most famous tavern in all of the Forgotten Realms is coming to life as a piece of terrain that you can use at home for your own role-playing adventures. Dungeons & Dragons Icons of the Realms: The Yawning Portal Inn is currently in production at WizKids, and will retail for $349.99 when it goes on sale in April 2021. Here are the first, exclusive images of the lavish new set piece.

The Yawning Portal is the most popular inn and tavern within the confines of the city of Waterdeep. The location — and its curmudgeonly proprietor, Durnan — have been featured in multiple campaign books published for D&D’s 5th edition, including Tales from the Yawning Portal, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, and Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Publisher Wizards of the Coast also used the inn as the online home of its new virtual organized play initiative.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a ‘streamer mode’ that disables copyrighted music

Just as livestreaming platforms like Twitch mass delete video content in response to an influx of DMCA takedown requests, Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red is giving its players a solution to deal with the problem of streaming copyrighted music in video games. The developer will give players the option of disabling certain songs in Cyberpunk 2077 in an attempt to avoid copyright strikes while livestreaming or making videos that feature audio from the game.

“We know that for content creators, licensed music can sometimes be problematic,” Hollie Bennett, U.K. head of communication, said in CD Projekt’s latest Night City Wire video presentation, “so with this new mode, you’ll be able to disable a small number of selected tracks which could cause some issues, replacing them with a different song, helping to avoid any problems.”
