Cyberpunk 2077 technical breakdown highlights PS4 performance problems

Digital Foundry, the experts in video game technology, posted its Cyberpunk 2077 analysis — specifically on how CD Projekt Red’s new game runs on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro — on YouTube Thursday. As the team says, and plenty more players have experienced, it looks “dire.”

In the video, Digital Foundry tested Cyberpunk on patch 1.02, which is where the game’s at for launch. It found that the resolution on PlayStation 4 stays around 720p, but can range up to 900p, with the game looking glitchy and blurry. Digital Foundry went as far as to compare Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 to Nintendo Switch port — specifically with some of the problems The Witcher 3 had on that console.

Twitch streamers slam creepy site that rounds up ‘cute girls’

Being a woman on Twitch can already be rough, and a website called Bunny Hop doesn’t seem to be making things easier. The site, which seems fairly new, exists exclusively to highlight “cute girls” — Bunny Hop’s words — who are live on Amazon’s broadcasting service. And based on a number of responses on social media, it appears that most people on it never gave Bunny Hop the OK to be on the site.

“They absolutely do NOT have my permission to do this,” one Twitch streamer wrote on Twitter.

Fallout fans organize charity drive for children’s hospitals

In March, the Fallout 76 community rallied around long-time roleplayer and community pillar CJ Martin. After a successful fundraiser to aid Martin and his family after a house fire, members of the Fallout 76 community have created a much larger effort to benefit St. Jude’s. A streaming event called Fallout For Hope will run from Dec. 14-20, with a number of Fallout streamers and content creators, both from 76 and other Fallout games.

There will be over 150 contributors to Fallout For Hope, including Bethesda employees like Bethesda vice president Pete Hines.

CD Projekt Red advises Cyberpunk 2077 streamers to mute their music

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and it’s no surprise that players are streaming their progress through Night City. Unfortunately, Twitch’s DMCA policy is causing a few hiccups for streamers. Developer CD Projekt Red now recommends streamers disable music entirely.

The role-playing game went live with a streamer mode, which disables copyrighted audio with the intent of making the game completely compliant with any copyright restrictions. While this has been a recurring problem for Twitch, it has ramped up in recent months, leading to user protests.

Telltale Games updates fans on The Wolf Among Us 2 and more

Telltale Games closed its doors in 2018, laying off the studio’s staff and shuttering production on its titles in development. Then, the brand was revived in a surprise acquisition by LCG Entertainment. The two men, Jamie Ottilie and Brian Waddle, who headed up the new Telltale Games announced that while the developer had lost the rights to some of the properties its games were based on, it still had access to a few IPs, as well as its own original games.

That includes the Fables series by DC Comics’ Vertigo label, which means that in 2019, Telltale Games announced that The Wolf Among Us 2 had restarted production. Since then, fans have received few updates. Today, the developer released a statement via Twitter.

GTA Online’s next big heist also tunes up the radio

Grand Theft Auto Online offers players the chance to turn on the radio while they cruise around town, which is a nice addition. There have totally been times where I ignore the crime opportunities around me in favor of driving around to the Backstreet Boys. The Cayo Perico Heist update brings three new stations to the radio, and overhauls two more, in what Rockstar call Grand Theft Auto Online’s Biggest Ever Musical Update.”

Rockstar revealed the three new stations. Here’s what players can expect once the new update hits on Dec. 15.

As in previous years, players can collect ingredients by defeating enemies in a variety of ways, and then bake those ingredients into special holiday cookies for Destiny’s NPCs.
