Meet the gambling kingpin funding Eve Online's biggest war

The enemy is at the gates, and they are super rich

His name is Joe, and he lives in Georgia. But in the world of Eve Online he's known as Lenny Kravitz2 — yes, like the musician — and right now he's personally bankrolling what may be the biggest interstellar war in gaming history.

Not long ago we reported on the conflict that has come to be known in the Eve community as World War Bee. Thousands of players have banded together to storm the gates of the most powerful player-led faction. Known as The Imperium to some, the CFC to others and the Goonswarm to most everyone else, that group has a long history in the world of Eve Online. It's led by one man — Alex "The Mittani" Gianturco — and his reign, such as it is, has been long.

Hearthstone nerf alert: major changes coming to classic cards

Find out how many of your favorite old decks aren't going to work any more

When Blizzard announced that it was creating a new standard format for Hearthstone earlier this year, it also revealed that it would be tweaking an undisclosed number of cards from the classic set to ensure they wouldn't remain overly powerful in standard format. In a blog post today, Blizzard has finally revealed which cards are being changed and how substantially.

As suggested by Blizzard in various interviews leading up to this announcement, the Druid class core card were hit the hardest. The seven-mana-cost Ancient of Lore used to allow players to choose between drawing two cards or restoring five health. While its cost and stats, as well as the health restore, will stay the same, it can now only draw a single card if that effect is chosen.

That's the biggest feature coming with version 1.5 of the 2015 game. Survival Mode aside, the update will also come with bug fixes, many relating to the recent Automatron and "Wasteland Workshop" expansion packs. Players on PS4 will also have the ability to delete add-on content from within Fallout 4.

It's not going anywhere, though

Shadow Complex Remastered sneaks onto PS4 in May

Metroidvania comes to Sony's console

The high-definition remaster of Shadow Complex is coming to PlayStation 4 on May 3, according to the PlayStation Blog. First revealed in December, the PS4 release of Shadow Complex Remastered marks the 2.5D side-scroller's first time on a Sony console.

Microsoft and developer Chair Entertainment originally released Shadow Complex on Xbox Live Arcade in 2009. Chair announced it would launch a revamped version of the platformer on modern hardware — Xbox One and Windows PC along with PS4 — at last year's Game Awards. Before Shadow Complex Remastered arrived on consoles, however, the developer made the PC version available as a free download.

It's the biggest sport Mario's yet to tackle

By day, Mario works as a stomp-happy plumber — but Nintendo fans know that, after hours, he's got a real love for sports. Not only that, but Mario's proven to be pretty good at games as varied as baseball, basketball, tennis and even Olympic gymnastic events. But he's never made a pass at football before — although perhaps he should, based on a new series of fanart.

Reddit user -SyBro posted his own take on a hypothetical Super Mario Football game. His 3D renders include pictures of Mario and Baby Bowser suited up for the field and a handful of Toad referees on deck, among other familiar characters. Each quarterback would come with a special skill, like a flaming pass for Mario and banana-style throw for Diddy Kong.
