A new way of handling copyright claims

YouTube announced that it's updating its Content ID system. Upcoming changes to how content creators are affected by copyright claims aim to "help fix that frustrating experience," according to the YouTube Creator blog.

Beginning later this year, YouTube will allow monetized videos that have been hit by third-party copyright claims to continue running ads during the dispute process. Once a resolution is reached, the revenue from those ads will go to either the original creator or opposing party. The infographic below explains how the new system will work in four steps.

Insight into how Hello Games is approaching storytelling

No Man's Sky, Hello Games' highly anticipated space exploration game, won't have a traditional linear story filled with "huge cutscenes," studio founder Sean Murray said in a new post on the PlayStation Blog. But the game will have more than its share of lore for players to discover and dissect, Murray said.

"Hopefully everything you find has a reason for existing," Murray said of No Man's Sky, which is bound for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. "When you see a building, we've tried to think of who might have built it, and why. It's something we're excited to see fans uncover as they play, and put their own interpretations on."
