Plus new content, Mac versions, merch and more

Stardew Valley will receive several major updates in the coming months, developer Eric Barone announced in a progress report on the game's site. These include a content update comprising version 1.1 of the Windows PC game, as well as a multiplayer mode, new language options and ports to other consoles.

Barone, who's better known by the handle ConcernedApe, was quick to mention that there's no release window for the additions and ports yet. To help speed things along, however, he's roped in publisher Chucklefish to take charge on the ports, localization process and the programming end of the co-op multiplayer function.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches worldwide Friday, Nov. 4, bringing with it high-speed space-fighters and a war against the "settlement defense front."

"This year, we're both honoring the heritage of Call of Duty while taking players to incredible new heights," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a bold, new vision from the studio that created the original Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, and an adventure on an insanely epic scale that only Call of Duty could deliver. And Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is one of the most beloved games of all-time, reborn for a new generation. We have lovingly remastered it with a whole new level of graphical fidelity and realism that wasn't possible when the original was released. It's going to be a great year for Call of Duty players."

Admins of shut down World of Warcraft server say they will meet with Blizzard

Could spell good news for official legacy servers

The developers of a legacy World of Warcraft server that has drawn tremendous fan support since being ordered to shut down say they have been invited to meet with Blizzard Entertainment on its campus in southern California, portending some kind of an amicable resolution.

The admins of the Nostalrius server delivered the news to their community today. Nostalrius was closed April 10 following a cease-and-desist notice from Blizzard Entertainment, leading to an outcry among the tens of thousands of fans wishing to play "vanilla" or an older version of World of Warcraft, without any of its expansions. Such servers are a violation of the MMO's terms of use.

Whoever the 'Settlement Defense Front' is, they sound pissed

A hype video for Call of Duty's next game is up on Facebook, Twitch and YouTube right now, and it appears to introduce the series' latest enemy. If nothing else, we can expect some final, major reveal and confirmation of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare soon.

The video is just a loop of a belligerent message from some guy who studied at the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson school of mic work. Cueball there introduces his faction as the Salmon? Solomon? Defense Front or something. Oh, it's Settlement Defense Front. Alright. They're angry, whoever they are.
