Deformers is a smash-em-up arena brawler from Ready At Dawn — and it's a blast

The developer of The Order: 1886 goes cute and colorful for its next game

The next game from developer Ready At Dawn — the independent studio best known for cinematic action games like The Order: 1886 and the God of War series — is a colorful, physics-based multiplayer brawler named Deformers.

In Deformers, up to eight players can beat each other up as blobby, ugly-but-adorable creatures known as Forms. Players body slam and shoot each other in arena combat that smacks of a squishy, family-friendly Twisted Metal. It's a blast, with hints of Smash Bros., Rocket League and Splatoon, but with a unique sense of style.

Get a free GOG.com copy of select Steam games

GOG.com has implemented a new service today: GOG Connect, which allows users to permanently import games from their Steam accounts directly into their GOG.com libraries. Select games will be eligible for the service on a limited basis, offering the chance to grab a copy of certain titles without any copy protection, as long as a user has already purchased them on Steam.

Currently, games that can be copied over with GOG Connect include Braid, Saints Row 2 and The Witness. They'll only be offered for the next five days, although the service's instructions state that duration will vary. GOG.com plans to continue providing eligible titles.

Features included in unranked draft include Hero League's ban system, which allows players to ban certain characters from appearing in their random matches. The mode will also come without party restrictions and include its own matchmaking rating.

The numbers keep shooting upward

Nearly 11 months after its debut, Rocket League is still doing well: Developer Psyonix has now sold more than 5 million copies of the vehicular soccer game, reports Forbes.

Those sales are separate from the millions of times that PlayStation 4 owners downloaded Rocket League free last summer, when it was a PlayStation Plus title during the month of July. In addition, Rocket League players have bought more than 5 million pieces of downloadable content for the game across PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

A new Harvest Moon game is heading to 3DS

That's not a new Bokujo Monogatari game, mind you

Natsume's next Harvest Moon game is Harvest Moon: Skytree Village for Nintendo 3DS, the company announced today. It's the third title developed by Natsume in the long-running farming sim franchise, instead of by Marvelous Interactive, the original creator of the Harvest Moon games.

Natsume didn't name a developer for Skytree Village; instead, the company detailed what to expect from the title during its E3 2016 debut. Among standard features like finding a spouse, tending to crops and fishing, players will also have upgraded tools to use and more animals to herd, including — for the first time — a donkey.
