Sharing pics of Watch Dogs 2’s genitals could get you kicked off PSN

Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 offers a “fresh approach to world and objective design,” according to Polygon’s review of the open-world game. It also features fully modeled and textured male and female genitalia, one player who got the game early discovered this week. Unfortunately, that same player also found out that sharing screenshots of the game’s full-frontal nudity can get your PlayStation account suspended.

Adam, who hails from the U.K. and managed to get an early copy of Watch Dogs 2 from Amazon, said he had his Sony Entertainment Network account suspended after using the PlayStation 4’s Share feature to tweet a picture of a background character’s vagina.

Beautiful creatures animate Lost Ember

Lost Ember successfully concluded its Kickstarter campaign today, pulling in more than $350,000 on a target of a little more than $100,000.

It's another pretty game to add to this year's tally of titles that pay homage to the beauty of nature, and to a desire to return to natural things. I wrote about this phenomena last week, which takes in a diverse bunch of games such as Virginia, Firewatch, Oxenfree, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, The Witness and Small Radios Big Televisions. Greenery is definitely in this year.

PS4 Pro not working with your 4K TV? PS4 firmware may be the issue

The PlayStation 4 Pro is built to take advantage of two bleeding-edge display technologies: 4K resolution and high dynamic range (HDR) color. But some people are reporting that the new console isn’t working properly with their 4K television, and it appears that the PS4’s latest system software is at fault.

It seems like the PS4 Pro ships with PS4 system software update version 4.0 installed. That’s not the latest firmware, however — Sony released a minor update, v4.05, in late October. Unfortunately, something seems to be out of whack with the firmware.

Players dig up hidden weapons in Modern Warfare Remastered

Activision’s remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare apparently has a few secrets. Players have discovered, thanks to digging through system files for Modern Warfare Remastered, that the game has more than 10 hidden weapons that aren’t playable through normal means, including a handful of weapons from other Call of Duty games.

While it’s not clear why these weapons are in the game — Call of Duty players on Reddit have theorized that they’re either related to future downloadable content or were implemented but ultimately scrapped — they’re playable in-game. And Activision has taken a few videos of those weapons in action off of YouTube, thanks to copyright claims.

Total War: Arena will be the first game in Wargaming, Sega partnership

Wargaming, Sega and The Creative Assembly announced today that they would enter into a partnership to support Total War: Arena, a free-to-play strategy game that was first announced at the Game Developers Conference back in 2013.

Wargaming is the developer of World of Tanks and, most recently, World of Warships which are both free-to-play titles. They are also responsible for the Master of Orion reboot, having acquired the intellectual property from the Atari bankruptcy auction three years ago. The Wargaming Alliance is a new effort to leverage their global audience and build a community around another company’s game.

Telltale reportedly making Guardians of the Galaxy game for Marvel

Telltale Games is reportedly working on a game based on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, according to details released by actors union SAG-AFTRA and a report from ComicBookMovie.com.

As part of SAG-AFTRA members’ ongoing voice actors strike, the union released a list of video game titles — most of them referred to under their code names — that are both part of and not part of the strike. One of those documents reportedly listed Guardians of the Galaxy: The Video Game (aka Blue Harvest) alongside Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3 as in development at O’Farrell Enterprises, LLC. That company is registered under the name of Darragh O'Farrell, the voice over producer for The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands and other Telltale games.

New Pokémon Sun and Moon video reveals more Ultra Beasts, Z-moves for starters

Pokémon Sun and Moon are just days away from being released, but The Pokémon Company is still trickling out videos, teasing new details and revealing more attacks.

In the latest video, The Pokémon Company gives us our first look at the special Z-moves that will be exclusive to the three starter Pokémon. Z-moves are a new feature being introduced with Sun and Moon and are essentially powerful attacks that can only be used once in battle, as long as the trainer has the proper item to use it. There have been a couple of Z-moves announced already, but these three powerful attacks can only be used with Decidueye, Primarina and Inceneroar — the final evolved forms of Rowlett, Litten and Popplio.

Watch Dogs 2 shows off Ubisoft's next big E3 trailer — or does it?

There is a nonzero chance this is Ubisoft Montréal fucking around with us within the mischievous world of Watch Dogs 2, which launches on Tuesday. But, let's play along and consider that Marcus Holloway has, in that game's world, uncovered the E3 trailer for Ubisoft's next big franchise in ours.

It's a little heavy-handed in a DON'T LOOK AT THIS BUT WE REALLY WANT YOU TO (and also please talk about it) way, but hey, the trailer looks good. Nice juxtaposition of orbital scenery and folk singing. Toes status = tapping.

Would it be cheaper to buy a real NES and all of the old games off eBay?

Would it be cheaper to buy a real NES and all of the old games off eBay?

The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is rather scarce. When you take childhood nostalgia, form it into the perfect living room conversation piece, and launch it right after a globally traumatizing event such as the United States’ general election, it’s a good bet that sucker is gonna sell out! especially when it’s marketed to a demographic that considers every cent of its income disposable.

So! What if you are unable to obtain one? Could you go to, say, eBay and buy a console and each of the 30 cartridges that are installed on the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition? You can! How much will that cost?

The good news is it would be a lot less than the $500 or $1,000 that unscrupulous profiteers are seeking. The bad news is it’s more than the $59.99 the thing is supposed to cost.
