Watch scary VR adventure Wilson's Heart

Last week, I spent 30 minutes or so in the creepy world of Wilson's Heart, an Oculus Rift narrative horror game in the style of a 1940s haunted hospital murder.

Making use of the Rift's Touch controllers, I'm able to leaf through magazines, touch intercoms, make phone calls and open cupboards as I search for clues. Movement is teleportation based, with prefixed positions that allow me to search for clues.

No one’s feeling Club Penguin’s replacement

Club Penguin died last night after more than 10 years as a popular browser game. Today, it’s been reborn on mobile devices as Club Penguin Island, but many people already would prefer that it just stayed buried.

Club Penguin Island is an iOS and Android version of Club Penguin that loses much of what was endearing about the Flash-based original. There’s a heavy emphasis on story, with a mandatory tutorial walking players through some clunky controls and a much blander setting.

Injustice 2 adds Scarecrow and Captain Cold

Chalk up two more bad guys for Injustice 2. In a supervillain-focused trailer released by Warner Bros. Interactive, both Scarecrow and Captain Cold were confirmed for NetherRealm Studios’ DC Universe fighter.

Injustice newcomers Scarecrow and Captain Cold, longtime nemeses of Batman and The Flash, respectively, are highlighted in a gameplay video that also offers a closer look at Bane and Gorilla Grodd. Scarecrow’s attacks and abilities appear to be centered on his use of a hook and chain, which he uses to ensnare and slash at his opponent, and the fear-inducing gas. Captain Cold, naturally, uses his power of cold to freeze his enemies and shoot ice-based projectiles.

Amazon choked with Nintendo Switch scams

The Nintendo Switch is suffering from supply issues as demand for Nintendo’s hybrid portable and home console continues to be strong. And where there is demand this strong, there will be scammers trying to cash in.

Amazon’s third-party listings for the Nintendo Switch are choked with newly launched seller accounts that have little to no feedback who are selling the hardware for well below even sticker price. This should send up a giant red flag.

Destiny 2 trailer explains why Bungie took away all your Destiny loot

Destiny 2’s first narrative trailer didn’t show any of the actual gameplay — that’s coming in May — but it did provide a narrative-based excuse for the game to remove your gear from the first game, even though you’ll be able to carry over your character.

“We know that, just like us, you have grown fond of the Guardians you’ve created, so we do plan to preserve your character personalization,” Bungie said in a blog post. “We are going to recognize the dedication and passion you’ve shown for this world. Specifically, the class, race, gender, face, hair, and marking selections for all characters that have achieved Level 20 and completed the Black Garden story mission will carry forward. We also plan to award those veteran accounts with honors that reflect your Destiny 1 accomplishments.”

Persona 5's DLC looks like a must for longtime series fans

It’s only fitting that Persona 5, a game that’s been called one of the most stylish of its generation, would receive a ton of fashionable downloadable content. Atlus updated the game’s website with the entire schedule of DLC releases, and the lineup should make fans of the entire Shin Megami Tensei series happy.

One week after launch, Persona 5 will receive costumes based on its predecessors. Players will be able to dress up the Phantom Thieves crew as the teens from Persona 3 and Persona 4. These packs will retail for $6.99 when they’re on sale April 11, and they’ll be followed by a similar set based on Persona 2 at the same price the following week.
