Terry Crews isn’t as bummed about not voicing Doomfist as you are

When Blizzard Entertainment introduced Doomfist to Overwatch earlier this month, many players were disappointed to learn that he wasn’t voiced by fan-favorite actor Terry Crews. But Crews, who spearheaded a social media campaign to join the Overwatch voice cast before Doomfist’s debut, doesn’t seem to mind.

In an interview with PC Gamer, Crews talked about not wanting to “hijack the game” with his voice.

Don’t expect that Crash Bandicoot remaster to ever get any easier

Nostalgic Crash Bandicoot fans agree that N. Sane Trilogy, the series’ PlayStation 4 remaster collection, is much, much tougher than the original PlayStation games were. They’re just going to have to get used to it, hints developer Vicarious Visions in a recent blog post that details what accounts for the PS4 ports’ difficulty spike.

“Now, we can all agree that some of the Crash levels were, and still are, not easy,” wrote Kevin Kelly, editorial manager of publisher Activision’s blog. “The challenge of the games is one of the things we all love, and that’s why it feels so, so good when you beat them.”

Overwatch League’s logo could hit a snag with Major League Baseball

A procedural filing before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office suggests that Major League Baseball may be planning to challenge the new Overwatch League's logo.

The blog of the Morrison/Lee law firm in New York notes that in late April, MLB requested a 90-day extension of time to oppose the Overwatch League's application for trademark on its logo, and was granted it. The filing was made and granted a day before a 30-day window to oppose new trademark applications was set to close.

Destiny translator delivers biggest Fallen dictionary so far

For nearly two years, Redditor Sarsion has been pulling apart the language of the Eliksni — aka the Fallen of Destiny. Others have made translation attempts, but now Sarsion has assembled a dictionary of 87 words, the basics of Eliksni grammar and, better yet, a custom video with none other than Variks to teach the class.

Sarsion's curiosity on the subject began after the release of the House of Wolves DLC for Destiny back in May 2015. In the expansion, Variks would occasionally show up in communications to translate something one of the Fallen said.

Watch George A. Romero discuss his Resident Evil 2 commercial

George A. Romero, who put zombie horror on the map with movies like Night of the Living Dead and its sequels, never got to make a film adaptation of the Resident Evil video games. But the celebrated filmmaker did have one interaction with the franchise that we can all look back on today: He directed a commercial for 1998’s Resident Evil 2.

“This is a commercial for Biohazard 2, but we wanted it to look like a movie,” said Romero in a nine-minute behind-the-scenes featurette, using the game’s Japanese title. “So we basically wanted to produce it very much like a movie, instead of like a commercial shoot.”

Kingdom Hearts 3 gives you a much bigger team to fight with

Kingdom Hearts 3 will increase the size of a player’s active party over the previous mainline entries in the series, director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed. After a hard limit of three members per battle in earlier games, Kingdom Hearts 3’s latest trailers show that players will have more flexibility in constructing their teams.

Gameplay shown over the weekend during D23, Disney’s biennial industry conference, confirmed that some speculated earlier this year: Kingdom Hearts 3 will allow far more team members to enter combat at once. We got to see a toy-sized Sora fight alongside not just his regular companions Donald and Goofy, but also the classic pair of Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear and Woody — all at once, with no need to abandon anyone.
