Super Mega Baseball 2, the sequel to Polygon's sports video game of the year for 2014, is delayed into 2018, developer Metalhead Software announced yesterday.

Super Mega Baseball 2's original launch, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, was scheduled for September, when MLB's regular season is winding up in dramatic races for postseason berths.

NBA Live 18’s demo is out today. Should you play it?

NBA Live has put me on a limb before, one I swore to God I wouldn't shimmy out on again.

Five years ago, in a hotel room in Portland, Ore. I thought I saw something good. I didn't. It remains my greatest professional shame. The game was canceled two months later. NBA Live's failures and fits and starts since have stalked my career writing about sports video games, going back to a pitiful demonstration at E3 2010. NBA Live will take your trust by the wrist, turn your back and plunge a knife into your kidneys. It'll come to your home and make promises to your face. It'll ditch its console launch date and hide out on mobile, like it did for all of 2016.

“During the console Beta, we learned a lot from the players who entered the Crucible,” said Lars Bakken, design lead for the Crucible, in a blog post from Bungie. “Some of these learnings will be on display in the PC Beta.”

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition coming next month

Fallout 4 publisher Bethesda Softworks will release a Game of the Year Edition of the post-apocalyptic open-world game on Sept. 26, the company announced today.

It’s a bit of a latecomer, considering that Fallout 4 debuted back in November 2015. As you might expect, the Game of the Year Edition will include all six of Fallout 4’s add-ons: Automatron (originally released in March 2016), “Wasteland Workshop” (April 2016), Far Harbor (May 2016), “Contraptions Workshop” (June 2016), “Vault-Tec Workshop” (July 2016) and Nuka-World (August 2016).
