Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and last year’s game of the year winner, Doom, are both coming to Switch, Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct event today. Doom is coming this “holiday,” while Wolfenstein 2 is available in 2018. The former was released in May of last year, while the latter is due to be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 27.

The trailer confirmed that the Switch release of Doom will include the single-player campaign as well as online multiplayer. We’ve asked Bethesda about support for the game’s SnapMap feature, which allowed users to create and share their own maps, and whether or not the game would match the current version’s discounted price.

Destiny 2’s Leviathan raid is about to go live

Destiny 2’s first raid, Leviathan, will open to all high-level Guardians today, and you can now watch the official “teaser” for it.

We put the word in quotation marks because, well, it’s more like a 15-second GIF than an actual teaser for what players will be doing in the raid. There’s no gameplay footage or even a CG cutscene; instead, we see a plate of gaudy gold filigree in the grand Cabal tradition, which is inspired by the design of ancient Rome’s military.

Update for Nintendo Switch Online app may have fixed chat’s most frustrating feature

A new update for the Nintendo Switch Online app on iOS and Android devices is live and, according to Nintendo’s description of the service, previous issues with voice chat have been fixed.

In version 1.1.0, “voice chat will now continue when other apps are opened” and “voice chat will now continue during sleep mode,” according to Nintendo’s official website. When the iOS and Android apps went live in July, Switch players pointed out that not being able to use their phones for other activities, like looking up a walkthrough guide or checking messages, wasn’t exactly an example of a user-friendly design.
