Australia does dry wastelands well: Think Mad Max, Wake in Fright, Razorback. You can probably add Broken Roads to that list, a forthcoming CRPG focused on post-apocalyptic exploration and "meaningful philosophical choices." It's developed by Australian studio Drop Bear Bytes, made up of former devs from CCP Games, Riot and Ubisoft, among others. Oh, and the gorgeous hand drawn art is the work of Mighty Vertex, the art studio behind Shadowrun Returns.

A federal court decision on Tuesday upheld the FCC's 2018 repeal of net neutrality, which reduced regulations on broadband providers under the guise of making the internet "more open." FCC chairman Ajit Pai called the ruling "a big victory for consumers," while commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, who opposed the repeal, said the FCC was "on the wrong side of the American people and the wrong side of history."

Bungie just announced on Twitter that Destiny and Destiny 2 have been taken offline for "emergency maintenance." There's no word on what exactly the issue is but the studio said previously that it was investigating problems that were preventing players from logging in. Some of our in-house Guardians have also been experiencing issues with being given unexpected heave-hos from the game.

Destiny 2 deployed on Steam today and while there were a few Beavers and Weasels spotted roaming around, for the most part it seems to have gone reasonably smoothly. I was able to get in quickly and painlessly (after an hour of "unpacking"), and the usual PC Gamer Destiny stalwarts have been unusually quiet for the last couple of hours.
