At 8TB, this is the largest portable SSD we've seen

I'd totally jam 8TB of portable SSD storage into my pants pocket if (A) such a drive existed and (B) it was reasonably priced. Point B will be addressed at later date, because SanDisk, a division of Western Digital, has taken care of point A. Well, sort of.

Headsnatchers, the party game about ripping skulls off of bodies, is free on Humble

Headsnatchers is a party game for up to four players in which the object is to, as the title suggests, snatch the other players' heads—literally rip them from the shoulders of your opponents. It sounds horrific, but there's more: "Dunk your buddies’ heads through hoops like LeBron, kick your grandpa’s gobbler through a portal to hell like Doomguy and flush your sister’s brain-basket down the toilet like the dooky you pushed out five hours after you shoved that XL pizza down your face."

Apex Legends is throwing a two-week fancy party

Apex Legends is hosting an irresponsibly long party, starting on January 14 and running for two weeks. Instead of fine dining and polite conversation, expect murder, new and returning limited-time modes, and prizes.

I'd be more into VR if all VR headsets looked like this

Price isn't the only barrier to entry for many of the VR headsets currently on the market. Some might not find them comfortable, or the screens make them sick. (I fall into the latter category.) But on top of that, the design of VR headsets hasn't changed much over the last several years. They're still big, bulky bricks that strap to your face, and it takes some some will power or a great game to forget that your head feels unbalanced.

Online WW2 shooter Days of War leaves Early Access at the end of the month

We first took notice of the multiplayer Second World War FPS Days of War in early 2017, when we said that it appeared to be aiming for a higher skill ceiling than other online shooters: "Anytime you see 'Challenging Recoil' listed as a selling point in a trailer you know the game means business." Three years down the road, Driven Arts and Graffiti Games have dropped a new trailer to announce that the full release has been set for January 30.
