Hellpoint is a horror sci-fi Souls-like releasing in April

The Surge 2 did a pretty good job of adding a sci-fi flavour to the Souls-like formula, though compared to its inspiration it's pretty... cheerful. Hellpoint is also a sci-fi flavoured Souls-like, but all evidence suggests that it's not shying away from the grimy, oppressive horror elements that made Souls so engaging. It's set on a derelict space station, but expect enemies and encounters much stranger than robots.

Stadia adds Monster Energy Supercross 3, but it costs more than it does on Steam

The Stadia streaming game service has been taking some heat recently, arising from the limited selection of games, ongoing absence of features like 4K support and Google Assistant functionality on PC, and a perceived lack of communication about where it's headed next. In January, for instance, it announced that more than 120 new games would be coming to the platform this year, but offered nothing in the way of titles or timelines.

Fable Fortune is shutting down in March

When Fable studio Lionhead closed in 2016, it seemed for a very brief moment that the Fable series was gone for good. But mere months later, Fable Fortune was announced, a card game based on the series that was in active development at the time of the studio's closure. Following that closure, a crew of former Lionhead talent formed Flaming Fowl Studios to keep it alive, and a year later, Fable Fortune launched into Early Access.

Kentucky high schools ban Fortnite league over concerns about 'shooter games'

In January, TechCrunch reported that a company called PlayVS had joined with Epic Games to launch competitive Fortnite leagues at the high school and college levels. PlayVS leagues, operated in partnership with the National Federation of State High School Associations, normally require participating schools to pay a fee of $64 per player, but the Epic deal means that the first season of Fortnite will be free for all registered players. High school registrations are open until February 17, colleges and universities have until February 24, and the season will begin on March 2.

A DDOS attack has kept many EVE Online players offline for 9 days, with no end in sight

EVE Online hasn't quite become EVE Offline, but for many players in US timezones it might as well be. For nine days and counting, the MMO's US servers have been choking under the onslaught of a DDOS attack, leaving the in-game chat service largely inoperable for players who manage to log in. Many can't even do that, hitting an "unable to login" screen. CCP Games reports both issues, as well as lag and disconnection errors for players who are able to connect, are ongoing, with no ETA for when they may be resolved.
