Learn about The Witcher's many monsters in a new faux-documentary from Netflix

Earlier this week, Netflix declared the Six Days of Witchmas, a little holiday treat for Witcher fans patiently awaiting the arrival of season two. Each day, people vote in a Twitter poll for either a "sincere gift," like a scan of a script page or a look at a Witcher toy, or something more random via the Law of Surprise. So far it's been Law of Surprise every day, which has resulted in a Jaskier photo gallery, a trio of images from the season two set, and today, a new documentary-style video looking at some of the show's dangerous beasts.

Dwarfheim owners can now invite their friends to play for free

There was some genuine excitement earlier this year when the co-op RTS Dwarfheim announced its multiplayer beta at the PC Gaming Show. It supports singleplayer action but as James said at the time, the real draw is its co-op mode, which enables up to three players to take on a different class—Builder, Miner, or Warrior—and work together to survive the harsh environment and enemy forces.

Microsoft and Best Buy are now offering Cyberpunk 2077 refunds

The PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 is buggy, but not a total disaster. It's the console versions, specifically when played on an original Xbox One or PlayStation 4, where things have been really rough. As a result, Microsoft has followed Sony's lead on Cyberpunk 2077 refunds, announcing on Twitter today that full refunds will be offered to anyone who purchased the game through the Microsoft Store. US retailer Best Buy is also offering refunds on physical editions of the game, even if they're open, but in a much more limited timeframe.

Shinji Mikami's Tango made an unreleased game about four-inch cockroaches gunning down humans

Shinji Mikami, president of Tango Gameworks and one of the great directors, recently spoke to Variety to mark his 30 years in the games industry. As well as some enjoyable recollections about his days at Capcom making various Resident Evil titles (Resi 4 was such a departure because "It just felt more fun"), Mikami digresses into the earlier days of Tango Gameworks, and speaks about a smaller project that, though completed, has never seen the light of day.

Treat yourself to a fast 144Hz gaming laptop with an Nvidia RTX 2070 for $1,099 after rebate

Here's a bargain for those of you who, like myself, still prefer a larger 17.3-inch form factor gaming laptop. It's easier on my eyes, and with the focus on thinner and light designs, they're no longer these huge, hulking beasts. Check that, MSI's GL75 Leopard, as configured here, is a bit of a beast (just not hulking). And it's marked down several hundred bucks right now.

Rainbow Six: Siege celebrates its fifth anniversary with a limited time 'year one' mode

Rainbow Six: Siege is five years old, and to celebrate Ubisoft is taking the game back to its roots. The time-limited Legacy Arcade mode runs until January 5, and reverts a game that has been tremendously well-supported and revamped over the years to roughly how it was in its first year. The maps go back to they way they were and looked then, the original 20 operators have their original loadouts, and while Tachanka players may not love the thought, everyone else will.
