Nvidia's CloudXR could one day do for VR what GeForce Now is trying to do for PC gaming

The biggest challenge with GeForce Now turned out not to have anything to do with latency, but with key publishers pulling their games from the service. Still, it and other cloud gaming services have the potential to be game-changing. In the same vein, so does Nvidia's new CloudXR software development kit, which brings a similar concept to streaming virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality experiences to lower powered headsets.

ASRock figured out a way to overclock Intel's locked non-K Comet Lake CPUs

When buying an Intel processor, one of the main considerations is whether you want to overclock or plan to stick with stock settings. If you want to overclock, you should buy an unlocked K-series CPU so you can adjust the multiplier in the BIOS to crank up the clockspeed. Otherwise, a non-K series CPU with a non-adjustable (locked) multiplier will save you a bit of coin. But what if you want to save some money and overclock? ASRock's "Base Frequency Boost" technology may make it possible to overclock those locked Intel CPUs.

Work continues on Fallout 4: New Vegas mod

The mod recreating Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4's creation engine was first brought to our attention in 2017, at which point the team responsible were showing off how the later game's dynamic weather would affect New Vegas. Then we saw them recreate its opening, complete with new voice-acting as a way of sidestepping a potential conflict with Bethesda (like the one Fallout 4: Capital Wasteland fell foul of due to re-use of audio files).
