Here are your 2017 Steam Award nominees

Last month's Steam Autumn Sale featured quite a number of really good deals on games, and also the return of the Steam Awards, a jokey sort of fan-selected showdown with nonsensical categories like "Mom's Spaghetti" and "Whoooaaa, Dude!" The nomination process was wide-open, meaning that anyone could nominate any game in any category they liked, but now those noms have been winnowed down and this is what we're left with.

Watch Mark Hamill act like a jerk in a new Squadron 42 single-player cinematic

Today, Barone is at it again on Twitter, but thankfully he brought some hard facts this time.

The episodic narrative adventure The Council begins in the year 1793, when a secret society whose members include Napoleon Bonaparte, George Washington, and you, Louis de Richet, holds a meeting on a private island off the shores of England. But it's not just a friendly meet-and-greet. The whole thing is highly competitive, as each member jockeys for a position over the others. Complicating matters further, your mom was recently on the island and has since gone missing.

Blizzard changes how characters move on the Overwatch PTR

Blizzard has made some adjustments to the Overwatch PTR that will change the way the game's heroes move and accelerate. Game director Jeff Kaplan explained in a forum post that the update was originally made to address problems with a couple of specific heroes, but "the changes are systemic" and thus they have an impact on everyone.
