Mass Effect 2 and 3 DLC bundles finally pop up on Origin

Both Mass Effect 2 and 3 had some cracking DLC—the sneaky spy sequences of Kasumi's Stolen Memory and the rip-roaring Citadel are my two personal favourites. But they've been very difficult (and expensive) to get hold off, requiring you to mess around with clunky Bioware points rather than purchasing them outright. Things just got a bit easier, because DLC bundles for both games have just popped up on Origin.

Firefly Studios’ MetaMorph is coming to the PC Gamer Weekender

Firefly Studios is bringing its "rock hard" dungeon crawler MetaMorph to the PC Gamer Weekender, showing off the shapeshifting action that allows players to shunt between different souls (abilities, basically) to crush their enemies. Expect exploration, tactical arcade combat and customisation—this is one that’s looking to be an interesting take on the dungeon crawler genre.

Orwell: Ignorance is Strength will have fewer, more complex episodes than the original

Orwell: Ignorance is Strength, the second season of the surveillance-themed adventure, is going to feel quit different to the original, if a new blog post from the developers is anything to go by. Season one (which was pretty good), contained five episodes—the new season will only have three, but they will be more "complex" and hand the player more control over the game's story.

Last Man Sitting is a daft physics game about firing rocket launchers from your office chair

Last Man Sitting blew up on Reddit last month with a gif showing men in office chairs firing shotguns and ragdolling across the room. Now the game has a full trailer, above, and a playable version is due to come out next month. The mix of serious men in suits (they're dead ringers for Agent 47), green office chairs and explosions looks completely daft, and I reckon it'll be fun to play.

Watch five minutes of Fe, a good-looking platformer where you connect to nature by singing

Tyler caught a fleeting glimpse of nature-loving Fe last year, when developer Zoink became the first company to join EA's indie support arm, EA Originals. Back then we knew little about it other than it looked beautiful, but now we know a little more. In a five-minute video with IGN (above) , creative director Hugo Bills talks through the mechanics, including the way you sing to gain the trust of other creatures.

Resident Evil 7 gets a permanent 40% price cut (and a 20% sale to boot)

Resident Evil 7 was a brilliant survival-horror game that, arguably, saved the series. It sold well, but not as well as Capcom hoped, reaching its 4 million sales target seven months later than expected. The developer has set an overall sales target of a whopping 10 million. Perhaps the fact that it's sliced the base price of the game in half for US buyers, and by just shy of 40% for UK audiences, might help.

John Rorher, developer of excellent MMO The Castle Doctrine , has just released a trailer for his next game, and the premise is intriguing. It's a collaborative online game in which players band together to create a new civilisation from scratch from a growing list of 10,000 craftable objects. The twist to One Hour One Life is that you spawn as a baby, and a randomly selected player is your mother.

Police kill Kansas man while responding to an alleged 'swatting'

28-year-old Andrew Finch of Wichita, Kansas, was killed last night by police in what appears to have been an incident of "swatting." Deputy police chief Troy Livingston told the Wichita Eagle that police were responding to a report of a murder and hostage situation at Finch's home when he came to the front door and was shot.
