Extinction, the game about fighting 150-foot-tall ogres, is out on April 10

Developer Iron Galaxy has slapped an April 10 release date on Extinction, the action game about battling towering ogres. For those that haven't read about it before, you control Avil, an agile fighter trying to protect earth from an army of massive monsters that he has to take down one by one. Extinction's combat system promises to give you the same degree of control as a fighting game (Iron Galaxy also developed Killer Instinct), only in a massive 3D space that let's you climb on top of your enemies and cut them apart, piece by piece.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is getting another small-but-spicy expansion

That's live in the game now, and you can get double experience and $GTA when playing it until 5 February—which is pretty standard with the debut of new competitive modes.

Insurgency: Sandstorm developer New World Interactive has just given us a first peek at the tactical options players will have at their disposal in the multiplayer shooter, many of which never made it into 2014 FPS Insurgency, of which this is a direct follow-up. The new trailer, above, shows door breaching, close-quarters pistol finishers, and combatants shooting from moving vehicles.

First-person roguelike Delver emerges from four years of Early Access this week

First-person pixely dungeon crawler Delver is emerging from a mammoth four-and-a-half year stint in Early Access on Thursday (February 1), developer Priority Interrupt has announced. I think 'slow and steady' would fairly characterise its development since 2013, with updates arriving every six months on average. Still, I remember playing it on my phone five or so years ago and it's clearly come a long way since then.
