Hacket, we said ahead of its release a few years ago, is a game with "real hacking," a phrase surrounded by quotes because of course it does not actually contain any real hacking going on. But it's a reasonable facsimile in the context of a videogame, complete with a text-based terminal interface, a UNIX-based command set, and lots of reading. It's also quite good—and, until 10 am PT/1 pm ET on May 26, it's free on the Humble Store

In the latest Fortnite 'State of Development' blogpost, Epic Games has announced a forthcoming limited time mode in the form of Playground (v1). Departing dramatically from the format of previous Fortnite modes, Playground resembles Minecraft more than it does, say, a battle royale. And there are loads of llamas too, apparently, though stats and challenges won't be tracked.

Well, this is a bit unexpected. Apple has rejected, apparently twice, the Steam Link app for iOS that would allow iPhone and Apple TV users to stream games from their Steam library to phones and devices. Weird.
