Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics cards go on sale from 6am PT today

It's that time again—when we all gather around our computers, cross our fingers, and hope we can be one of the lucky few to pick up a brand new Nvidia RTX 30-series graphics card on launch day. Today's catch of the day is the card we presume to be the most popular too: the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070. Sales will begin at 06:00AM PT (09:00AM EDT, 01:00PM GMT).

CD Projekt boss says Cyberpunk 2077 crunch is 'not bad that—and never was'

In May 2019, CD Projekt promised a "more humane" approach to crunch on Cyberpunk 2077, saying it had embraced a "non-obligatory crunch policy" that, while not eliminating crunch, would at least curb some of its death-march excesses. CD Projekt Red co-CEO Marcin Iwiński recommitted to that approach a month later, saying, "We want to make sure that there will be no guilt when people will be leaving early if they need to, in case we ask some people to stay."

Red Bull is hosting a 'simplified' League of Legends World Championship stream for newcomers

League of Legends is an overwhelmingly complex game. I've been playing since last year—hundreds of hours—and I still don't know what I'm doing. This can make it a little difficult to get into League of Legends' World Championship Series, despite it being the biggest esports event in the world. This year, Red Bull is attempting to ease us noobs into it: It's hosting a special "simplified" stream of Saturday's finals match that's made especially for newer players and those who have never played League before.

Cyberpunk 2077 is 'ready for the PC,' but current-gen console versions still need work

Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed into December yesterday, a postponement of just a few weeks that, sadly and predictably, nonetheless resulted in death threats against developer CD Projekt Red and the people who work there. The studio attributed the delay to the complexities of simultaneously developing and testing nine versions of the game—current and next-gen consoles, PC, and Stadia—while working from home, but in a call to investors following the announcement, CD Projekt co-CEO Adam Kiciński pointed more specifically at the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles as the source of the holdup.

This Xbox Series X refrigerator is a 'prize' that you can 'win'

The Xbox Series X is ugly. I know some are charmed by its brutalist slab design, but a thing can be ugly and charming at the same time, and it's sort of cute how un-designed the new Xbox is compared to the PS5's curvy chassis. However, a thing can also be ugly and not charming at all, but simply grotesque, which I'd argue is the case for this Xbox Series X-shaped refrigerator.
