Bleach characters join Jump Force's mash-up

That Dragon Ball FighterZ romp looks like such a good time that, over the course of the year, I’ve been tempted to pick it up about once a month. This is despite having only watched one episode of the anime, which I deemed “quite bad”. Jump Force has been similarly piquing my interest since it was shown off at E3, though in this case I actually recognise a few characters. The Shōnen Jump mash-up includes characters from DBZ, One Piece, Death Note and, announced today, Bleach.

The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged is a fan remake of the RTS

The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged is a fan remake of the RTS

Once upon a time, it was Lord of the Rings games that EA was disappointing us with, not Star Wars. Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth and its sequel weren’t strategy games that set the world aflame, but they were two of the better titles to come out of the old licensing deal. If any of EA’s LotR games were going to get a fan remake, better that it’s The Battle for Middle-Earth and not Conquest. That’s exactly what’s happening thanks to The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged.

Kursk, the submarine disaster 'documentary', is due in October

Kursk, the submarine-bound adventure game inspired by 2000 disaster that claimed the lives of 118 Russian sailors, is still a bit of a mystery, touting itself as a ‘documentary’ while keeping exactly how it documents a disaster with no survivors a secret. We’ll find out soon enough, however, as it’s coming to Steam in October, developer Jujubee announced on Saturday. It was originally revealed back in 2015.

Grand Theft Auto 6's announcement is a good hoax, but still a hoax

Grand Theft Auto 6's announcement is a good hoax, but still a hoax

I’ll eat my underpants if it’s real, but an in-game message in GTA Online has been teasing the arrival of Grand Theft Auto 6, absent any other fanfare. The message purports to come from Rockstar and it’s been reported by multiple people on different platforms, accompanied by screenshots. It’s complete nonsense, but convincing nonsense.

Fortnite now has at least three cracks in reality, and they're growing

Over the weekend, disaster struck in Fortnite as a rocket created a crack in reality. If you didn’t see it, you’ve missed it, but we have captured it for posterity. Since the initial attack on the sky, and presumably existence itself, the fracture has expanded. Other tears have appeared on the map, too, and yes, they’re also getting bigger. Oh dear.

Minotaur is adventure game starring a magical android and a cyborg penguin

Inspired by the likes of Danganronpa, Minotaur is an unusual visual novel-style adventure game set in a magical sci-fi world where robot wizards rub shoulders with cyborg penguins. Nine characters, including the aforementioned magical robot and augmented penguin, find themselves trapped in their homes, tasked with revealing the identity of the trap’s maker, and their motives. It’s due out in early access this year, but there’s already a demo you can sink your teeth into.
