Daemonical is free to try this weekend

Daemonical flings a group of people onto an island where they must survive until daybreak, but there’s a catch. Obviously. One of these people is secretly a demon primed to slaughter the group. It sounds a lot like Dead by Daylight but with the paranoia and deceit of party games like Werewolf. It also appears to be looking for new players, hence the free weekend on Steam. I decided to see if my demon-surviving skills were up to snuff.

Developers keep trying to bring back Jagged Alliance, without much success. There was the misguided MMO, Jagged Alliance Online, in 2012; the scaled back remake of Jagged Alliance 2, Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, also in 2012; and finally the Kickstarted Jagged Alliance: Flashback in 2013, which wasn’t very good either. Now there’s Jagged Alliance: Rage, developed by the same studio behind the MMO. It was announced last month and now there’s some gameplay footage to go along with it.

Capcom has smooshed together seven arcade beat ‘em ups into one meaty bundle. The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle was announced on the latest Nintendo Direct but is coming to PC as well as consoles. It’s the first time several of these games have been seen outside of arcade cabinets.

The Culling is going back to the beginning. With the battle royale’s sequel now officially shelved, developer Xaviant has returned to its predecessor; today it relaunches as The Culling: Origins. If you played the original back in its early access days, it might be familiar.
