Modders have successfully replaced all of Dragon Quest 11's music with orchestral tracks

Unlike the last grand console adventure in the Dragon Quest series, the music in Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age is entirely synthesized. Some Dragon Quest enthusiasts were disappointed by this perceived step backwards, especially since Dragon Quest 8 on PS2 had a lushly orchestrated soundtrack. If you're among the disappointed, never fear: a mod has been released that lets you replace all the music in DQ11 with pre-existing orchestral versions of the songs.

Clementine's voice actor suggests The Walking Dead: The Final Season may go unfinished

Melissa Hutchison, who provided the voice for Clementine in The Walking Dead as well as characters in other Telltale releases like Puzzle Agent, Back to the Future, and The Wolf Among Us, has written a sad farewell to the studio that recently confirmed a majority closure. She writes, "I, unfortunately, like most of you, do not have the details on how this all came to be and I also do not know the fate of the final season of TWD. To my knowledge, they will release Episode 2 and then that will be it."

Maximum Action enters Early Access looking like a mashup of Half Life and Max Payne

Maximum Action, an old-school shooter that just hit Early Access, reminds me of lots of different games. Visually, it looks like it's from the same era as Half Life, but the slow-motion shooting and gun-throwing is giving me hints of Max Payne, FEAR, Superhot, and the Action Half Life mod. Whether it'll live up to any of them remains to be seen, but the early reviews are at least promising.

Watch a launch trailer for Life is Strange 2

Life is Strange 2 is only days away from release, so here's a launch trailer for the first episode, called 'Roads'. It looks like it will be setting up the basics of the new season, which is about two young brothers, one of whom has mysterious powers, on the run from the police. Chloe and Max, the protagonists of the first season, won't be showing up, although there may be some nods to free spin-off The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit
