Nvidia Pascal GPUs will get ray tracing drivers in April

One of the biggest complaints with DirectX Raytracing (DXR) games—all two of them—has been the high barrier to entry. You want to run Battlefield 5 or Metro Exodus with ray tracing enabled? You currently need a GeForce RTX card. These are some of the best graphics cards around in terms of performance, but the least expensive card is the RTX 2060, starting at $349, and that card will probably only manage 1080p at high quality and maybe get 60fps if you enabled DLSS. For the full RTX experience, the RTX 2080 Ti is over twice as fast but will set you back $1,200! But what if you just want to try ray tracing without cracking open your wallet? Nvidia has heard the requests and will release a DXR-compatible driver in April.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC probably won't support Xbox Play Anywhere

Since it was confirmed for PC last week, many have wondered whether Halo: The Master Chief Collection will support Xbox Play Anywhere, which effectively grants owners of a Microsoft-published Xbox One game a free copy on PC. That initiative was first announced in 2016, and the company has supported all first-party Microsoft games since. But unfortunately, it doesn't look like the forthcoming Halo port won't be among them.

Today during the GTC 2019 keynote, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang gave us another glimpse of the tech in upcoming Nexon MMO Dragon Hound.

Concurrent with the Game Developers' Conference going on in San Francisco this week, Nvidia also has it's GPU Technology Conference (GTC). There's a lot of overlap between the two, as game developers are often looking for ways to better utilize GPUs as well. Regardless, if you're a fan of black leather jackets and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, the GTC keynote kicks off at 2pm PDT until 4pm.

How The Division 2 players are already solving the mysterious Ivory Key riddles

If you've spent some time in The Division 2's White House, you may have come across a locked weapon crate that indicates it needs 8 Ivory Keys to be opened. You probably also noticed you have zero Ivory Keys. And, as you've been running around the map you may also have spotted some unusual murals around Washington DC. Murals that looks like they contain some sort of code. Intriguing!

Deus Ex art director joins Mordheim: City of the Damned studio for a new project

Jonathan-Jacques Belletête brought a very distinct visual style to Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided as the art director at developer Eidos Montreal. He won't be around for the final game in the trilogy (which I continue to resolutely believe it will be) however, because he is now working as creative director on a brand new project at Mordheim: City of the Damned studio Rogue Factor.
