Horizon Zero Dawn hits GOG this week

We know that Sony has enjoyed the reception to the release of its first-party PlayStation "exclusives" on PC this year, with execs reporting earlier this year that its new strategy would bring more first-party games to PC in the future. What you might be surprised to learn is that they're also releasing a first-party game on a non-Steam, non-Epic platform. Guerilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition will come to GOG on November 24th—its page on the GOG store is already up. It'll have support for all of GOG Galaxy 2.0's features.

AMD's Infinity Cache is the MVP of the RX 6000-series, and it's only going to get better

Introduced with the RDNA 2 architecture, Infinity Cache is a new cache system that operates alongside the GDDR6 memory interface within both the RX 6800 XT and RX 6800. It's a pretty big deal for AMD, too, with its engineers telling us it is the key to unlocking gaming performance from 1080p to 4K where it would otherwise have been saddled with a massive and power-hungry alternative.

I like Doritos as much as the next guy, but I've always hated how they can't hang from the sides of my favorite FPS weapons. What's up with that? Let's face it: your Sims in The Sims 4 probably have a better life than you do. Maybe they occasionally wet their pants and fall asleep face-down on the sidewalk, but typically they've got bigger houses, nicer furniture, more fashionable clothing, and more opportunities for WooHoo than the average flesh and blood person.

Play around with this Windows 1.0 emulator to celebrate its 35th birthday

Growing up using a PC that ran on Windows 3.1, I don't think it ever occurred to me that there was a Windows 2.1. Or 1.0. That was just Windows, until Windows 95 came around a few years later. But that wasn't true, of course. There were earlier versions of Windows, and a time when Microsoft wasn't making the most dominant computer operating system in the world. Windows 1.0, which started it all, came a good five years before the Windows I knew. As of today, November 20, it's turning 35 years old.
