Xbox now has its own fragrance, and no, it doesn't smell like a vat of hand-crushed Doritos drenched in lukewarm fizz-less Mountain Dew. Quite the opposite: apparently it has "top notes of citrus, middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood". Australians will be able to buy it at supermarkets and pharmacies next month.

Respawn has revealed the details about Apex Legends first-ever limited-time event, Legendary Hunt, which is now underway. Until June 18, players will be able to earn event-exclusive loot by completing special in-game challenges, can earn entire Battle Pass levels by finishing in the top 5 in a match (once per day), and can purchase rotating, "event limited" Legendary Hunt skins in the Apex store.

Mega Man X with melee attacks instead of a blaster—that's the platforming of Smelter at its most basic level, which I learned from a demo at Bitsummit last weekend. Japanese-based developer XPlus was showing off the game for the first time at the Kyoto indie festival, and there were a couple things that differentiated it from the many other 2D pixel art platformers I saw and played over the weekend.
