At AMD's "Next Horizon Gaming" E3 press conference, we got a few minutes of Gears 5, as The Coalition's Rod Fergusson and Mike Raynor came on stage to talk tech. While most of the time was spent going over information about Gears 5 we already knew, and talking up AMD's hardware, this was a cool tidbit to have confirmed: Gears 5's new Escape mode will support three-player splitscreen on PC.

The Division 2 is getting a Netflix movie adaptation

Netflix is making a Tom Clancy's The Division movie, Ubisoft announced today during its E3 press conference. Though details are extremely scarce at this moment, we do know that it will be directed by David Leitch, who directed Deadpool 2. Rafe Judkins, who was a contestant on Survivor but also worked on TV shows like Chuck and Marvel's Agents of Shield, will be adapting the screenplay.

Ubisoft is launching an Origin Access-style subscription service in September

Ubisoft confirmed during its E3 press event today that a new program offering subscription-based access to its games and other content is coming to its online store in September. Called Uplay Plus, the program will go for $15/€15 per month, which will get you "earliest available access" to Ubisoft's new releases, plus unlimited access to more than 100 games in Ubisoft's library, DLC, premium edition content, and early access releases and beta tests.
