Fortnite Week 7 Secret Battle Star Location (Season 8 Discovery Challenge Guide)

We're nearing the end of Fortnite Season 8, but there's still plenty to do before Season 9 of the hit battle royale game inevitably arrives. Week 7's challenges are now available across PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, and mobile, giving players another assortment of tasks to complete. Clearing these will help level up your Battle Pass, which in turn will unlock some of this season's new cosmetic rewards.

If you're a seasoned Fortnite veteran by this point, you'll know there's a secondary reason to complete as many challenges as you can. If you finish all of the ones from a given week, you'll complete a related Discovery challenge, the reward for which is a special loading screen that contains a subtle clue leading you to a free Battle Star (which levels your Battle Pass up by one tier) or a Banner (which can be used as a profile icon) hiding somewhere around the game's map.

Complete seven weeks' worth of challenges this season and you'll earn the loading screen pictured below. This one features Luxe, the Legendary skin you can unlock at tier 100 of the Season 8 Battle Pass, plundering a treasure-filled cave. However, if you look closely at the left-hand side of the image (behind the words "Battle Royale"), you'll spot an unusual etching on the cave wall. This'll lead you to this week's free Battle Star.

Avengers: Endgame Prep - The Marvel MCU Watch Order That'll Get You Up To Speed

about X hours ago from

Last year, fans of Marvel's Cinematic Universe watched as the Mad Titan Thanos obliterated half of all life in the known universe with a simple snap of his fingers. Among the casualties were numerous heroes and in just a few days time the mission to bring down Thanos and undo some of his devastating actions will begin. Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas worldwide on April 25 and will be the culmination of numerous storylines interwoven throughout multiple MCU movies.

Naturally, that means that for those who want to relive the journey--or even experience it for the first time--time is running out to get caught up, and doing so is a mammoth task. So, to make things a little bit easier we've put together a watch order that lays out the ideal path through the many MCU flicks, which will give you the best viewing experience you can have.

You may think that you can just go back and watch the MCU movies in the order they were released, but since they aren't chronological events can happen parallel to each other or reference each other. Because of that, there's a great deal of merit in watching them in the order suggested in the video above.

Get 3 Months Of Xbox One Game Pass For $1 Starting Thursday (US)

There's no better time to sign up for Xbox Game Pass--not only are six new games expected to be announced for the service tomorrow, but Amazon has been running a deal where you can buy a three-month Xbox Game Pass and get three months free. Now, an even better deal is on the horizon: starting Thursday, Microsoft will offer new and inactive subscribers three months of Xbox Game Pass for just $1.

While the deal hasn't been promoted by Microsoft yet, you can find the details buried toward the bottom of the Xbox Game Pass sign-up page under Description. The offer will go live this Thursday, April 11, at 9 PM PT / Friday, April 12 at 12 AM ET and be available until May 13 at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET. You can't combine this offer with other promotions, and you can claim it only one time per account. After the three months are over, you'll be charged the full monthly price unless you cancel.

Xbox Game Pass generally costs $10 per month, so this is a great opportunity to get three months for over 96% off. New subscribers can already sign up and get their first month for $1, so this deal is basically an extension of that one.

Fortnite 8.30 Update And New Respawn Mechanic Coming Tomorrow

about X hours ago from

A new update is rolling out for Fortnite very soon. Downtime for this week's 8.30 patch is scheduled to begin at 2 AM PT / 5 AM ET / 9 AM GMT tomorrow, April 10, developer Epic Games confirmed on Twitter, and it's slated to introduce a game-changing new feature to the hit battle royale title.

Arriving as part of the 8.30 update are Reboot Vans. Much like the respawn stations found in Apex Legends, these vehicles will allow you to revive any fallen teammates during a match. Once a teammate is eliminated, they will drop a Reboot Card, which can be taken to a Reboot Van and used to bring them back into the fray.

"After a squadmate has been eliminated, grab their dropped Reboot Card and any surviving squadmates can activate it at a van," Epic Games community manager Nathan Mooney explained in a recent Dev Update video. "Once activated, you'll definitely know, as a beacon and audio cue will be set off, informing nearby players to the reboot in progress and how many players will be arriving. Your squad will appear, one by one, on top of the van--ready to jump back into the match."

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online Update Adds New Mode And Cosmetic Items

about X hours ago from

Rockstar has announced the latest update for Red Dead Online, the online multiplayer portion for Red Dead Redemption 2, is now live. Despite the several pieces of new content included in the update, Red Dead Online remains in beta.

The update adds a new Showdown mode, called Plunder. This mode sees two teams face off in a race to gather supplies from a central location to outfit their respective bases. You can also sneak into your enemy's base and steal their supplies. However, all other players can more easily spot you when you're holding supplies, so if you're going to steal from the enemy, it might be best to bring along a friend or two to watch your back.

New cosmetic items also come included in the latest update. After logging in to Red Dead Online, you'll be able to find the new Owanjila Hat, Porter Jacket, and Concho Pants being sold from outfitters. Additionally, until April 15, all rank 40 coats, holsters, boots, and gloves will become available for all players, regardless of in-game rank. The Turkoman, Missouri Fox Trotter, and Arabian horses are all being lowered to rank 40 as well, with the Volatile Dynamite, Incendiary Buckshot, Explosive Slug, Express Explosive, and Dynamite Arrow pamphlets going down to rank 60.

Destiny 2's Exotic Thunderlord Quest Is Back -- Here's How To Get The Gun

Destiny 2's Exotic Thunderlord Quest Is Back -- Here's How To Get The Gun

Back in October and November, Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost brought back Thunderlord, a lightning-slinging machine gun of original Destiny fame. Since the timed quest to retrieve it expired, though, any players who didn't earn Thunderlord have been hoping it to earn it randomly from the pool of Exotics that sometimes drop as they play. As part of the festivities of its Arc Week event, though, the Thunderlord quest is back, and if you haven't completed it, you absolutely should.

The multi-part Exotic quest to grab Thunderlord is back with Update 2.2.1, and you've got until April 23 to grab it. Part of the experience is the chance to revisit the Cosmodrome, a location from the original Destiny that's not available in Destiny 2 in any other way. After the quest vanishes again, you'll have to get your Thunderlord from the Exotics pool, which means the chances of it dropping are extremely low.

To start the Thunderlord quest and hunt down the killer of Master Ives, the Cryptarch from Destiny's Reef area, head to Amanda Holliday in the Tower. She'll give you Master Ives' journal, which requires players to search for the missing pages from Ives' diary out in the world. Here's how to solve the mystery and get Thunderlord.

Super Mario Odyssey's Labo VR Mode Shown Off In New Screenshots

Nintendo is launching its first virtual reality headset (of sorts) this month in the form of the new Labo VR kit. Not only do the included VR Googles allow you to experience Labo minigames in virtual reality, they will be compatible with two of Switch's biggest games, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, following free updates for both titles later this month.

Ahead of the updates, Nintendo has revealed a few more details--as well as a handful of new screenshots--for Super Mario Odyssey's upcoming VR mode on the game's official Japanese Twitter account (via Siliconera). The VR mode will take the form of three "mini missions" set in the Cap, Seaside, and Luncheon Kingdoms, with the main objective being to collect coins and music notes.

The notes will be scattered throughout each kingdom, and when you collect enough of them, you'll obtain different musical instruments that you can then give to NPCs to assemble a band. Once all of the performers have received an instrument, you'll be able to watch a special concert in the Metro Kingdom. You can take a look at some new screenshots of the mode below.
