Observation's Sinister AI Threat Sets Up A Gripping Story

Observation's Sinister AI Threat Sets Up A Gripping Story

Dr. Emma Fisher finds herself aboard the space station Observation. Something catastrophic has occurred, but she's not sure what or how. All she has to guide her is the station's artificial intelligence, SAM, but it's unclear whether it has her best interests in mind.

2001: A Space Odyssey is a clear influence for Observation, and developer No Code--which previously made 2017's Stories Untold--doesn't shy away from that. Observation oozes a retro aesthetic, tapping into the dusty nostalgia in those of us who grew up with cathode-ray tube monitors and fuzzy VHS tapes. It comes as no surprise then that the game's Creative Director previously worked on Alien Isolation. The same attention to detail that brought the Sevastopol to life is present aboard the Observation.

Pokemon Go's First 2019 Community Day Event Announced

about X hours ago from

A new month is just around the corner, which means Pokemon Go players have another Community Day to look forward to soon. Developer Niantic has announced the first details on next month's event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 12, and will feature the final Gen 2 starter Pokemon: Totodile.

Throughout the event, Totodile will spawn much more frequently in the wild than it normally does. Based on previous Community Days, players will also presumably have a chance of finding a Shiny Totodile during the event, although Niantic has yet to confirm this.

Moreover, if players manage to evolve Totodile into its final form, Feraligatr, up to an hour after the Community Day ends, the Pokemon will know a special event-exclusive move that it wouldn't typically be able to learn. Niantic has yet to reveal what this move is, but it will be announced closer to the Community Day.

Hellboy Reboot: Every Character In The First Trailer

Hellboy Reboot: Every Character In The First Trailer

Our first look at the new Neil Marshall helmed Hellboy reboot has come a day early in all of it's splashy, monstrous glory. The first Hellboy movie since Guillermo Del Toro's Hellboy: The Golden Army in 2008, fans are equal parts excited and apprehensive for this new take on their favorite demonic hero--especially since the tone of this initial trailer doesn't seem all that new to begin with, with a few notable exceptions.

The roster of characters populating the new world is almost entirely new, with some conspicuous fan favorite absences like the amphibious Abe Sapien who has not been announced or, as far as we know, cast for the movie at all. The rest of the more monstrous members of the BPRD as well, like the ethereal Johann or the Roger the homunculus are missing in action as well, replaced by other characters from the Hellboy comics pantheon like Alice Monaghan and Ben Daimio.

In fact, if you're strictly a fan of the Del Toro movies, there's a good chance the only characters you'll recognize from this trailer are Hellboy himself and Dr. Trevor Bruttenholm--but that's far from a bad thing. After all, who doesn't love expanding their comic book horizons?

And to help you do just that, we've compiled a list of every character we were able to spot in this first trailer--and one we know to expect, but didn't see.

Fallout 76 Patch Notes Detail Latest Hotfix Update's Change

about X hours ago from

Bethesda has rolled out another update for Fallout 76. This week's patch is fairly minor; it requires no download on PS4 or Xbox One (although PC players will still need to download the update), and it addresses a small handful of issues across all platforms, as well as a couple specifically related to the PC version.

Most notably, Bethesda has resolved a PC-specific bug that could crash the game when you select the "Exit to Desktop" option. Additionally, the developer says it has "fixed a setting that was left in a debug state." According to the studio, "This could allow out of date clients to connect, breaking gameplay."

In terms of general fixes, Bethesda has added Korean language support to all versions of the game. It has also fixed an exploit that allowed items to be duplicated, as well as a bug that could prevent enemies from taking damage from explosives and other heavy weapons. You can find the full patch notes for the hotfix below.

Get A Bunch Of Sonic Games For As Little As $1 On PC

Regardless of what you think of his new movie poster, Sonic the Hedgehog has managed to stay relevant since Sega first introduced the spiny speedster in 1991. If you play games on PC, you can get a whole bunch of Sonic titles on Steam right now for a fraction of their normal value. All you have to do is grab the Humble Sonic Bundle for $1-$15 between now and December 31.

As usual with Humble Bundles, you can buy in at your choice of three tiers, with each higher tier getting you a new set of games along with the games in the tiers below it. By spending just $1, you'll get Sonic CD, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, Sonic Adventure DX, as well as Sonic Adventure 2 and its Battle DLC.

If you pay more than the average amount for this bundle ($7.16 at the time of this writing), you'll also get the second tier of games: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection, Sonic: Lost World, Sonic Generations Collection, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2.
