Dogs Also Have A Home In Swery's The Good Life

Developer Swery has just announced that dogs are also coming to his Fig-based crowdfunded project The Good Life, meaning you can choose between turning into a cat or a dog at night while investigating the mysteries of Rainy Woods.

Not only does main character Naomi and the rest of the town turn into dogs at night in this newly announced version, but as a dog Naomi enjoys the ability to dig holes and follow scent trails. If you get the cats version she can climb up to high places and get into tight spaces.

The versions also differ in that they include some of their own items and possible unique story beats. However, the two are compatible with each other via online multiplayer.

Sonic Hedges His Bets On A Classic Casino Level

Coins, so many coins!

In a gameplay trailer released today, Sega showcases a new casino-themed stage from the upcoming Sonic Forces. Casino Forest, a nod to Sonic the Hedgehog 2's classic Casino Night Zone, is full of bright colors, pinball flippers, slot machines with Sonic's mug plastered all over them, and of course lots of coins.

With most people still riding high on retro Sonic mania, the trailer shows off the game's 2.5D side-scrolling, one half of a split-perspective approach to gameplay that will also feature 3D platforming.

Are you an Inhumans fan? Do characters like Black Bolt, Medusa, and Lockjaw fill your every waking moment? Does anyone have any idea what you're on about? Regardless of your answers to those important questions, Warner Interactive and TT Games have released a new trailer for Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 that focuses on – yep – the Inhumans.

Even if you aren't familiar with this lesser-known superhero crew, you'll be at home if you've ever played or seen a Lego game. In addition to showing off some of the time-traveling storyline's high drama, you get shots of characters blow-drying their hair and, in the case of Lockjaw, napping.

New Trailer Puts Fortune Valley In The Spotlight

EA has released a new trailer for Ghost Games' upcoming Need for Speed Payback, which shows off the game's expansive Fortune Valley setting. This Nevada-like location offers everything you'd expect, including Silver Rock's bustling strip (and active nightlife), but there's plenty to do if you'd like to get away from it all.

Take a look at the clip below to see some of the mountainous landscapes and desert vistas that surround the main drag. You'll also see that, in Need for Speed Payback, getting away from it all doesn't mean that you'll be getting a lull from the high-speed action.

Star Wars Battlefront II Introduces Arcade Mode

Star Wars Battlefront II is a much more substantial game than its predecessor from 2015, and one of the new additions is Arcade mode – a place where players can hone their skills alone or with a friend (console only).

Arcade mode (over all the Star Wars eras) lets you test out heroes and classes offline using custom loadouts and battle configurations with A.I. allies and enemies. On consoles you can also invite a friend and battle with them or against them in splitscreen.

Rewards in the mode can be used elsewhere in the game, and it features challenges and scenarios to try and keep you enticed.
