This year's Madden has two big hurdles to overcome: Take advantage of the new systems, as well as take care of nagging legacy problems. Our first look at Madden NFL 15 on the new consoles shows that developer EA Tiburon has been very busy.

So far, EA Tiburon has highlighted a lot of changes on the defensive side of the ball, from reworking how linemen rush the passer to redoing defensive schemes. If these additions are tuned correctly, the title's new balance of power could make for some exciting chess matches between offenses and defenses. Here is what we know so far:

First Look At NBA Live 15

The NBA Live franchise didn't have a glorious return last year, but developer EA Tiburon is forging ahead. Today EA Sports has released the first screen of the game, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at bringing NBA players to life.

Last week, Sean O'Brien, the game's executive producer, said that the team knows it has work to do to recover from last year, and that the team is working hard to do so.

The game comes out on October 7 for the new-gen systems, and we'll likely hear more about it this week at E3.

Presumably, we will learn more about the game this coming week.

Live-Action Trailer Teases Thomas Was Alone Creator's Volume

In an attempt to get ahead of the insanity that is E3, this morning developer Mike Bithell released a treaser trailer for the upcoming Volume.

(let the experiment in whether a live action trailer released the day before E3 can get _any_ attention begin ;D)

There is no gameplay to speak of, but the trailer does set up what is, presumably, the game's antagonist corporation Gisborne, with questions like, "Doesn't a military contractor handling England security just make sense?"

You can see one of the screenshots above, and you can see the other two by heading over to CraveOnline.com. The screens don't appear to reveal any new details about the game, through prying eyes might be able to find secrets hidden in the images. Hideo Kojima rarely reveals media without at least some kind of subtext.

about X hours ago from

A new behind the scenes video from developer Ready At Dawn details the line the studio rides between history and myth for The Order: 1886.

You will learn the thought process that went into the game's fantastical elements versus its grounded elements, and see a little bit of in-engine footage from the game. The video also goes in-depth on the game's fabric and costumer design, which is surprisingly fascinating.

The Order: 1886 is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 early next year. We're hoping to see more from the game at E3 next week.
