Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord is a strategy title where players assume the role of Hamilcar Barca, a boy who awakens a demonic power within himself to lead an uprising against the despotic Divine Empire. The first game in the series never actually released in North America, but Atlus says the visual novel-style storytelling will bring players up to speed in between the tactical role playing combat segments.

Each Camera Angle Is Examined And Updated In Different Ways

In a new video from Capcom with producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, we learn how the re-remake is being put together.

If you've played Resident Evil (or watched us play recently) you will know that every camera angle is important, and Capcom's team on the project feels the same way. You can check out the interview below, which includes some gameplay footage, and learn how some of the scenes are fairly straightforward, while some require more attention. The candles in the mansion's entrance have been remade and redone, for example, but then there is the example (which you can see above) where the team created polygonal leaves to appear in the foreground, where they just used to be flat pre-rendered images.

Sunset Overdrive Gets Pre-Order, Day One, And Season Pass-Exclusive Goodies

Yesterday, we shared some details on the Sunset Overdrive achievements. Today, we’ve got some news about some extra bonuses you can unlock in three different ways.

We’ve known that Sunset Overdrive is getting a Day One edition since E3 (similar to what was offered for Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, and Ryse: Son of Rome at the Xbox One launch). For Sunset Overdrive, this will net you two weapons (an more powerful version of the High Fidelity vinyl record launcher and the Hardcore! Hammer spiked dumb-bell bat). You’ll also get a costume to dress up like Fizzie (the game’s mascot).

If you pre-order on Xbox Live, you’ll get the Acordes de la Muerte (a guitar with melting candles on it) and the Hangover an electrified pitchfork). Both are melee weapons.

Idea Factory International Brings The Tongue-In-Cheek Strategy RPG Stateside Early 2015

The Hyperdimension Neptunia series has always been one to poke fun at the gaming industry. The series is set in the world of “Gamindustri,” which is populated by nations named after game consoles, like Lastation (Playstation 3) and Lowee (Nintendo Wii). Now, Idea Factory International is bringing the spinoff title Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart to North America for an early 2015 release.

This Vita-exclusive title focuses on a new “console war” between the four nations of “Gamarket,” a separate world set inside the Gamindustri. When an unknown force threatens all four nations, players will need to unite Gamarket as the goddess Noire to defeat the mysterious foe.

Goddess Black Heart features turn-based combat, customizable gear, and off-kilter status ailments in battle where characters become pixelated or turn into tofu. The focus isn't always on the action though. In the "Sim Noire" mode, players can customize Noire’s house with furniture and accessories that can be purchased with in-game currency.

Toadette will be playable in portions of the game, so it sounds like players won’t get to choose when to take her on the expedition. You can check her out in new screenshots below.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is due out on December 5 for Wii U.
