Interview With Skyshine Games On Creating The Post-Apocalyptic RPG

Bedlam is an upcoming roguelike RPG from the small indie studio Skyshine Games. It boasts a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world filled with characters who have had a few too many cybernetic enhancements. Players create a crew and journey across the world of Bedlam in a large, grungy vehicle called a Dozer. The tactical gameplay is heavily inspired from The Banner Saga, but also holds some innovative, new mechanics of its own.

Skyshine Games compares its Blitz Battle System to chess: every crew class has unique attack rules and movements. Resource management is also a major component, with meat, crude, and metal being critical supplies to keep your Dozer running and your passengers fed.

To learn more about the game, we sat down with Skyshine Games’ Jeff Johnson, who gave us a deeper look into the world of Bedlam, and what we can expect from the game.

Draw Upon Your Skills In Guild Of Dungeoneering

about X hours ago from

When I was a young child and played my NES on a small, flickery CRT, I inevitably kept some things by my side. I always had the latest issue of Nintendo Power. I adored the colorful game manuals. I never, ever played without a sketch pad for notes.

This came in most handy when I was playing The Legend of Zelda. Hastily drawing dungeon maps was an important part of my formative gaming experiences.

Gambrinous’ Guild of Dungeoneering evokes those memories by making the map creation an integral part of the game. And it does so with a pencil-and-paper aesthetic that reminds me of my youth.

Goat Simulator Heads To Xbox One And Xbox 360 In April

I have rarely seen my children giggle as much as they do when I lay on Goat Simulator’s “scream” button. If you aren’t a PC gamer or happened to miss the amusing title when it was released last year on April 1, you’ll have another chance soon.

Double11 has announced that the console version is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 some time in April. No specific date has been announced, but we wouldn’t be entirely surprised to see it show up on the one-year anniversary of the PC version.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Cast Punches A Cactaur In Latest Trailer

about X hours ago from

Final Fantasy Type-0 is a significant departure from what most fans expect from the long-running series. Thankfully, the monsters you’ll encounter (and command) are familiar enough to ground the experience.

In the latest trailer, you’ll see moogles, cactaurs, a behemoth, bombs, and more common Final Fantasy foes. Type-0 is a darker tale than many in the franchise, and the character design of even the cutest creatures evokes a more sinister feel.
