More Details On Bloodborne’s Procedurally Generated Chalice Dungeons Revealed

Last month, we learned that Bloodborne will have procedurally generated elements restricted to a specific part of the game. We saw the Chalice Dungeons in action for the first time at PlayStation Experience, along with an enormous demon dog that serves as a warden of the shifting halls.

Today, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa reveals more about how players will access this area and what they’ll find. In order to gain access, you'll need a holy chalice. Each time you enter, the layout and scenery will be different, with new perils in wait. The dungeons are home to a variety of landscapes, including swamps and gothic halls.

They are filled with traps and monsters guarding the dungeon protectors and ritual masters. These are creatures (like the one pictured above) that have never seen the light of day.

New Live Action Trailer Honors The Battle Of The Bulge

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, the historic World War II battle often seen as the turning point in the war. To honor the occasion, Sega has released a live action trailer for Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault, depicting the bravery the U.S. troops exhibited that December day.

Ardennes Assault is a standalone expansion for Company of Heroes 2 (our review) that places players in the middle of the Battle of the Bulge. The expansion introduces new strategic layers to its core gameplay with a new meta-map system and four US Force companies to play as: airborne, support, mechanized, and fox.

Play The Community's Best Levels On User-Generated Island

about X hours ago from

Developer Free Lives has announced a custom content-focused island coming to its game Broforce. The new area, named User-Generated island, will be filled with the best user created levels. To encourage more creation, Free Lives are also holding bi-monthly level design contests - known as The Weekend Workshop Brodown.

“The Free Lives team has been incredibly impressed with the creativity and craftsmanship in the custom levels created by the community over the past few months,” says Artist Jarred Lunt via the press release. “There were suspicions that our own Broforce level designers were grossly incompetent and obsolete but this new initiative confirms it.”

Broforce is still in Steam Early-Access, where you can buy it right now for $14.99. To learn more about the game check out our preview from a few months back.
