Arrowhead's Classic Co-op Reboot Releases Today

A lot of games have taken inspiration from Atari’s historic multiplayer dungeon crawl, but if you’re looking to get the band back together, Arrowhead Game Studio’s most recent reboot of the series releases today, and it’s looks like a good time, but don’t take our word for it (cue video).

Prepare to fight off floods of enemies with either a Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, and Wizard. The game is out now for PC, and you’ll probably want to play this game with some friends who aren’t too trigger happy. We're still a little surprised that this game hasn't been announced for consoles yet, but hopefully this is just a stepping stone towards that goal.

Check out our most recent test chamber on the game here.

New Sunset Overdrive Trailer Demonstrates Dangers Of Live Action

about X hours ago from

Lots of game companies are dabbling in live-action trailers to varying levels of success, but Insomniac's attempt at a real-world emulation of Sunset Overdrive doesn't turn out so hot.

The tongue-in-cheek trailer demonstrates what can go wrong when you try to recreate a game with multistory rail grinding, grotesque mutants, and explosives-filled teddy bears. It also features some glimpses of the game's irreverent humor, including a parade float that won't stop swearing and a naïve young actor who's about to get more than he bargained for.

Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass Includes Newly Announced 2.5D Downloadable Title

Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass Includes Newly Announced 2.5D Downloadable Title

Ubisoft has announced what Assassin's Creed Unity players can expect from the game's season pass, which includes a standalone downloadable game set in China.

The biggest DLC addition included in the season pass is entitled Dead Kings, and takes Arno to Saint Denis, a French city outside of Paris. Dead Kings takes place after the events Unity, and features what Creative Director Alex Amancio says is the darkest story Ubisoft has ever told in the Assassin's Creed series. Thanks to its underground labyrinth of crypts, Saint Denis will feature a host of puzzles, as well as treasure hunts, murder mysteries, and other missions. You'll also be unlocking new outfits, skills, and weapons, including the Guillotine gun, which fires explosive rounds.

The season pass also offers new missions in Paris, and more than 30 new weapons, items, and outfits. However, the biggest surprise is the inclusion of a standalone downloadable game, called Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. The 2.5D action/platformer stars a female assassin named Shao Jun and takes place in 16th century China. While Shao Jun will still be free running (on the Great Wall of China, naturally) and performing leaps of faith, her fighting style incorporates martial arts, offering a slightly different flavor on the series' combat.

The New Director Talks About Release Date And Demo Length

During TGS last week, Square Enix announced that Hajime Tabata is now directing Final Fantasy XV. That wasn’t the only big news about the game; the publisher also revealed a playable demo called Episode Duscae will be available for free to those who buy Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. If Square Enix wants to reignite enthusiasm for Final Fantasy XV and demonstrate the game is moving in the right direction, these announcements are a perfect start.

However, even with two big pieces of news hitting recently, we still wanted to know more about Final Fantasy XV. We sat down with Tabata to get his thoughts on a wide range of topics pertaining to the highly anticipated RPG and its associated demo releasing in 2015.

On The Name “Episode Duscae”: Duscae is the name of an area within the world of Final Fantasy XV. So, we took that as the name of the episode for the playable demo.
