Hurk And His Monkeys Return As Far Cry 4 Pre-Order Bonus

If you played Far Cry 3, you might remember the slightly off-kilter Hurk and his pack of explosive monkeys. If you have something against simians, you might want to get in on this action.

This time around, Hurk brings more than his weird attraction to monkeys to the table. As you can see from the image above, he offers up a weapon we expect will help create some interesting screenshots.

NBA Live 15 Sharpens Its Focus On The Court

about X hours ago from

To say NBA Live 14 had a rough debut is an understatement. With sluggish transitions, almost no off-ball movement, and a troubled shooting system that saw some A.I players take shots with their backs to the basket, the play resembled the Washington Generals more than a true NBA team. The developers at EA Tiburon owned up to the game's shortcomings, and rather than sulking immediately went to work on getting the Live gameplay to a competent level. Part of that effort includes bringing on longtime NBA Live and NCAA Basketball vet Connor Dougan back into the fold as a producer.

Dougan and the rest of the Live team set out with a four-part plan. First, they wanted to improve the responsiveness of every action taken on the court, from dribbling and passing to shooting and driving. To do so, they replaced every transitional animation to give players instantaneous changes of direction and the feeling that actions happen at the push of a button. The pass reception system was also overhauled to ensure that players square up to the basket and get into proper position to shoot or drive.

Evolution Studios Discusses What Sets Driveclub Apart

This fall, three racing games are coming to new-gen consoles. Xbox One fans get Forza Horizon 2. The Crew is coming to both Microsoft’s and Sony’s new machines. The PS4 has an exclusive racer too, titled Driveclub, and it's coming on October 7.

In a new video, you can hear from game director Paul Rustchynsky and his team at Evolution Studios about what went into making the game come together. One of the things that caught my attention was the inclusions for racers (like me) who are regularly at the back of the pack.

Styx Clones, Climbs, And Kills (More) In Assassin's Green 2 Trailer

Styx Clones, Climbs, And Kills (More) In Assassin's Green 2 Trailer

We’ve seen a bit of Styx: Master of Shadows in action, and now we get to see a more of his sneaky escapades in the new “Assassin’s Green 2” trailer. (I won’t even ask if you get it. You get it.) The trailer further showcases Styx’s lithe lethality and his ability to create a clone minion, which he then uses to distract and incapacitate his foes.

In the trailer, we get a better look at Styx’s hide-and-strike tactics—he’s both smaller and weaker than a lot of his opponents, so frontal assaults aren’t recommended. Utilizing his clone and proclivity for stealth is paramount to progress, and players have a few choices at their disposal: Styx stabs, poisons, and breaks the necks of his enemies if he can’t get around them.
