about X hours ago from

The beat 'em up inspired by ancient Greek art is coming to PlayStation 4 in January 2015.

Developer Alien Trap Games was not able to offer an exact date for the game, but it did says it is working on putting the finishing touches on the game.

The game takes place on Mount Olympus with players making their way to the top while battling a collection of gods and interacting with NPCs. You can choose to explore any direction you'd like from the beginning. Everything featured in the game is grounded in Greek mythology and its sometimes crazy stories and characters. You can see the game's PlayStation 4 announcement trailer below.

Hands-On With Hearthstone: Goblins vs Gnomes

Hands-On With Hearthstone: Goblins vs Gnomes

We had a chance to dive into a few demo decks at Blizzcon and see how the new mechs feel in the field. After several rounds of dueling with a mage goblin deck and a priest gnome deck, I’m confident that Goblins vs. Gnomes is going to be more fun than the core set and Naxxramas combined, with ease. While it’s easy to be concerned about the RNG elements found in many of the cards we know of right now (around 30 of the 120+ pool), in practice things play out in a fashion that can be hard to explain – it’s about controlling the chaotic elements as best as you can, and learning how to use what you are given to the best of your abilities.

Atlus' EarthBound Love Letter Delayed Again

Citizen's of Earth, the EarthBound inspired RPG where you play as the vice president of the United States, is now coming out early next year.

The game, a turn-based RPG from developer Eden Industries, follows the vice president as he builds a team of random citizens to battle some kind of threat – that part of the game isn't entirely clear yet. It was delayed once already back in August, and is now slipping beyond its November release date.

Atlus brought the game by the office a few months ago and showed off some gameplay, which you can see in the Test Chamber video below. You can also check out a new batch of screens for the game in the gallery below.

Watch Stop-Animated Digimon Battle For All-Star Rumble

A new Digimon game is coming out on Tuesday, and a new trailer shows off some gameplay, but also imagines the battles in stop-motion animation.

You can check out the trailer below which features Veemon and Agumon duking it out digitally, and physically. I had a chance to play the game at Comic Con early this year, and at that early stage it felt like an unspectacular 3D brawler. This trailer definitely shows some improvement since then, especially regarding technical areas like the framerate. The game also has a single-player component, which gives players a chance to explore a world and beat up monsters as the Digimon.Dgigmon All-Star Rumble launches November 11 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for a discounted $39.99.

Total War: Attila is a game with gravitas. A new cinematic trailer, which includes in-engine footage, follows Rome’s descent into war with apocalyptic themes.

In the White Horse trailer, the narrator conveys the desperation of the Roman Empire’s warlords while enkindling patriotism for the waning glory of Rome. In the game, players can choose to fight for the Empire as the Romans or attack it with Attila's barbarian armies at the dawn of the Dark Ages. See how the armies match up in the trailer below.

The Unexpected Surprises Of Replaying Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, And Halo 4

about X hours ago from

We’re not ready to post our full review online yet for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but I did want to share some of my impressions of replaying Halo’s campaigns and what surprised me about revisiting the journey.

Halo: Combat Evolved AnniversaryI am one of the biggest Halo fans in the office, but I skipped Anniversary in 2011 after being severely disappointed in the multiplayer offering. I enjoy the Halo campaigns, but my personal incentive for playing has always been multiplayer first.

In this age, even with the new visuals, Halo may look outdated, but its large scale still feels intact. Landing on Halo for the first time still feels grand and impressive, and being able to switch to the old visuals is a welcome addition. In the original release, switching to the old version meant enduring a short but noticeable fade to black. The switch is instant now and the game is better for it.
