Surprise Trailer Displays Claymation Point-And-Click Gameplay

about X hours ago from

Armikrog, the next game from Doug TenNapel and the creators of The Neverhood, looks as impressive and charming as we’d hoped. The trailer that flaunts the development team’s claymation prowess was originally released exclusively to backers of the game’s Kickstarter in October, but it’s now available to the public, and you can check it out here. Right now. (Seriously, watch it.)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Armikrog’s developer, Pencil Test Studios, in the wake of its successful Kickstarter in June 2013. Nevertheless, seeing the progress the developer has made on the game is a welcome surprise. But don’t take my word for it: the trailer below says more than I can.

New Video Details Turtle Rock's Iterative Development Process

In the last episode of The Evolution of Evolve, we got an early peek at the asymmetric multiplayer game’s “Big Alpha.” This time around, the show goes behind the scenes, showing off the many iterations Evolve had before it became the game it is now.

In the video, Adam Sessler once again interviews developers at Turtle Rock and uncovers new details. Originally, there would only be one hunter for each class of character. Turtle Rock later decided to give players a wider breadth of choice and introduced more characters, including the support class’ Cabot  and Abe the trapper.

Join The Roadtrip In This Final Fantasy XV Demo Walkthrough

Square Enix is showing off more of Final Fantasy XV in a new walkthrough video. The cast pulls to the side of the road and jaunts through the wildlife-packed plains.

Unfortunately, this is just a scenic trip. We don't get a chance to see much of combat in the 10 minutes of footage. In fact, it seems like Square Enix goes out of its way to hide it, as party members are attacked a number of times, but only fight back briefly.

This video is a good look at the visual fidelity (it's running at 1080p), but doesn't really tell us much more about the game. I just hope these young men remember where they parked.

Meet The Leader Of Evolve's Monster Hunters

Meet The Leader Of Evolve's Monster Hunters

Turtle Rock Studios is continuing to roll out new information regarding its four-versus-one multiplayer game, Evolve. Today's update highlights Cabot, the final member of Evolve's support class – and he's bringing some game-changing weapons and abilities to the fight.

Turtle Rock says Cabot is the leader of the hunters, and the one responsible for leading their mission to save the final colonists of planet Shear from their problematic monster invasion. Like Evolve's other hunters, Cabot has three unique weapons and abilities, in addition to the cloaking field that all support class members are equipped with. Cabot's unique abilities are:

Rail Cannon: Projectiles from Cabot's powerful rail gun don't have a maximum range; they keep going until they hit an object, at which point they continue traveling for another 40 meters, doing half damage to anything they hit. This allows Cabot to shoot the monster or other creatures on planet Shear through canyon walls and buildings, as long as he knows where his targets will be.
