Explore Trippy Floating Monster Heads In This PS4 VR Puzzler

about X hours ago from

Monsters are generally unsettling, terrifying things that you'd prefer to flee from, far and fast. By contrast, Gnog forces players to zoom in on weird creatures' heads and enter their minds to solve puzzles, complete with Sony's upcoming Morpheus virtual reality hardware.

Gnog is a collaborative project between developer Ko-Op and indie publisher/developer Double Fine. Ko-Op is also receiving funding from Sony's Indie Pub Fund initiative, since the game will be arriving on PlayStation 4 next year and taking advantage of Sony's VR headset. The psychadelic puzzle game is very enigmatic at this point, and watching the trailer below only makes the entire noggin-exploring adventure even more befuddling.

Battleborn Arrives This Winter With 25 Heroes, New Info About Progression System, Modes

about X hours ago from

2K and Gearbox have delivered some new information about Battleborn that gives us a better look at what to expect from the game. There's also a new, flashy trailer that gives us a look at some of the 25 heroes.

Battleborn will have three main modes when it arrives. Players can jump into the story by themselves or with a team of up to five online. Gearbox is designing the game so that there is value in replaying story missions for better loot.

There's also a competitive five-versus-five multiplayer mode with three different game types. Incursion plays out like a typical MOBA. The first team to destroy the enemy base (with the help of AI minions) wins.

Total War: Warhammer Shows Off Its Epic Battles

about X hours ago from

We had a chance to take a look at some of the battles that are coming with Creative Assembly’s Total War: Warhammer, and things look promising. While we’re used to seeing swarms of humans tearing into each other with swords, axes, and catapults, this diversion to the realm of fantasy features fantastic creatures and creations that would seem completely out of place in the more historically-rooted franchise. Trolls, flying monsters, steam tanks, spellcasters, demigryphs, and even Karl Franz make an appearance in a demo of the Battle of Blackfire Pass, and things looked incredible. I’ve always wondered how fantasy and the Total War franchise would look like if they came together, and even the single battle we witnessed makes a strong case that these elements should keep coming together (although I’m still completely okay with the more historical titles as well).
