Yager Shows Off Dreadnought's Team Elimination Mode, Complete With Snub Fighters

Yager's Dreadnought is built around the fantasy of commanding a large spacefaring vessel like the Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, or Millennium Falcon. The five-versus-five gameplay moves at a more strategic pace due to the size of the ships, which is accentuated by the most recently revealed mode.

We had a chance to play Dreadnought's team elimination game type at PAX East, but you can see it for yourself today. In this mode, players need to take more care in engaging. Once your capital ship is destroyed, it's gone until the end of the round.

Drool's Thumper Introduces Us To Psychedelic 'Rhythm Violence' In 2016

Drool's Thumper Introduces Us To Psychedelic 'Rhythm Violence' In 2016

Rhythm games tend to make an impression with their heavy bass beats, entrancing visuals, and white-knuckle gameplay. Titles like Rez and Amplitude work their way into our hearts and take up residence there. Drool's Thumper hopes to set up shop next to them.

Thumper features streamlined gameplay that uses one thumbstick and a single button. Despite that surface-level simplicity, Drool says that the game requires a steady hand as you'll be required to master more advanced moves as the game progresses.

There's also an "insane giant head from the future" called Crakhed. Keep that in mind while watching.

Building A Fort To Withstand Chaos

Building A Fort To Withstand Chaos

Sometimes you need to get out of your comfort zone to get your creativity going again. That's the approach Epic Games is taking with Fortnite. The team needed a palate cleanser after Gears of War: Judgment, and wanted to try something completely different. Fortnite is unlike the studio's past work, and looks to be a nice change of pace.

The inspiration for Fortnite struck during a Game Jam - an event where developers come together and plan a game in a short period of time. Since then, Fortnite has continued evolving, even turning toward the free-to-play model. Fortnite is a nod to the forts that many of us built in our childhoods, except this time you actually need to build something solid - almost ndestructible - to hold up against monsters and other competitors.

Epic isn't ready to reveal every available mode, but did confirm the presence of PVP and that a persistent fort-building mode is in the works. I recently got hands-on time with an atlas defense mission, working by myself before trying it out with other players. The basic goal is to gather resources to build a fort to protect the atlas device. Once ready, a storm unleashes a wave of creatures that invade your creation. You must fight them off and repair damage, all in the name of protecting the atlas. If it takes too much damage, you lose.

The Red Hood Doesn't Share Batman's Dislike For Guns In Latest Arkham Knight Trailer

The mysterious Red Hood wears a blood red Bat-symbol on his chest, but his methods are not the Dark Knight's. Batman might not abhor violence, but he doesn't use guns and he certainly doesn't kill.

In this brief trailer for a story pack for Red Hood, you'll see a different path to problem solving. The vigilante uses his guns in combat, and executes enemies with extreme prejudice.

Nvidia GameWorks Video Shows The Power Of PC (And New 60 FPS Gameplay)

Nvidia has put together an Arkham Knight trailer showcasing the added power of its technology, and it showcases new unseen footage from the game.

You'll see impressive particle and weather effects, and small touches like a scene where you will see money strewn about the floor reacting impressively to Batman and Nightwing's fancy footwork, all at 60 FPS.

C-3PO And His Original Voice Coming To Star Wars: Battlefront

Anthony Daniels, who has played and voiced C-3PO since the very beginning, recently confirmed his involvement in Battlefront.

Daniels recently tweeted, "One day it's the hilarious YODA CHRONICLES: the next, the astounding BATTLEFRONT! (Just the ying and yang of being C-3PO at the microphone)." Adding to the confirmation, @EAStarWars shared Daniels' tweet writing, "We've got #C3PO."

Learning Daniels is playing C-3PO in the game is no surprise – he has played every iteration of C-3PO from the main films, to smaller appearances like the above mentioned Yoda Chronicles, The Lego Movie, and he will be appearing in the upcoming Disney Infinity 3.0 as the golden robot. What's more surprising and interesting is that C-3PO will be appearing in the new Star Wars: Battlefront. Most are saying he will probably appear in a few cutscenes, but I've got my fingers crossed for playable character.

Fans Breakdown Relative Size And Exact Locations Of The Map

Using the repeating landmarks that appear in Fallout 4's reveal trailer, comparing those to a real map of Boston, and some math, a group have fans think they have already built an approximation of Fallout 4's map.

The group, calling themselves The Pre-War Hub, estimates that Fallout 4's map is about twice the size of Skyrim's and have even been able to figure out the approximate distance between the assorted landmarks that appear in the trailer, as well as locations like the garage that appears in the end. The group even has a good idea where the nuke blew up and how far the people affected by it are standing from the blast.

You can check out a video of the group's findings below, or check out a breakdown of images by heading here.
