Abaddon The Despoiler Takes On The Imperium

Abaddon The Despoiler Takes On The Imperium

Tindalos Interactive has released more screens for its upcoming title Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, a real-time strategy based off Games Workshop’s retired tabletop game.

These four screenshots focus on the Chaos Black Crusade of Abaddon the Despoiler. Chaos, one of the game’s four factions, prefers to overwhelm enemies with brute force. Although all of its vessels offer destructive weaponry, the strongest attack belongs to The Planet Killer, their capital ship. If you'd rather approach warfare in a different manner, you can choose between Elder, Ork, and Imperium.

A release date has not yet been announced, but Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is a confirmed PC exclusive. For more information, check out the teaser trailer or the first batch of screens.

Now that Lego Jurassic Park is almost out the door (later this week, dino-lovers), it's time to look ahead at another of the three Lego titles coming this year. We've previewed Lego Dimensions, WB Games' toys-to-life entry. Now we get to see Earth's mightiest heroes in action.

This first trailer for Lego Marvel Avengers shows off familiar scenes from the battle of New York. The Chitauri (it's ok if you call them Skrull, we won't tell 20th Century FOX) are swarming in through the portal above Stark Tower, and it's time for Bruce Banner to show his anger.

Thunder Guard Russell Westbrook Graces NBA Live 16 Cover

about X hours ago from

The Oklahoma City Thunder's NBA season may have been derailed by injuries, but that hasn't stymied the considerable hype buzzing around the organization. Today EA Sports announced that guard Russell Westbrook is gracing the cover of NBA Live 16.

Westbrook is a four-time all-star and reigning scoring champion of the NBA, averaging 26.7 points per game. Though an NBA championship has eluded him in his career thus far, he has picked up two gold medals playing for Team USA in the Olympics and FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Westbrook is the second Thunder player to grace the cover of a recent basketball game. Forward Kevin Durant has appeared on two covers, the defunct NBA Elite 11, which never released, and NBA 2K15.

Sega Is Giving Sonic Another Run On 3DS With Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice

about X hours ago from

Last year, Sega released two Sonic Boom games, one for Wii U and the other for 3DS. We didn't review the handheld version, and we didn't have terribly positive things to say about the Wii U installment. The publisher is not deterred though, as the blue blur is speeding back onto Nintendo's handheld.

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice features all five characters introduced in their new styles last year (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks), facing off against Dr. Eggman and a new villain, D-Fekt. This title also adds a "bot racing" with a collectible element.

Yager Shows Off Dreadnought's Team Elimination Mode, Complete With Snub Fighters

Yager's Dreadnought is built around the fantasy of commanding a large spacefaring vessel like the Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, or Millennium Falcon. The five-versus-five gameplay moves at a more strategic pace due to the size of the ships, which is accentuated by the most recently revealed mode.

We had a chance to play Dreadnought's team elimination game type at PAX East, but you can see it for yourself today. In this mode, players need to take more care in engaging. Once your capital ship is destroyed, it's gone until the end of the round.

Drool's Thumper Introduces Us To Psychedelic 'Rhythm Violence' In 2016

Drool's Thumper Introduces Us To Psychedelic 'Rhythm Violence' In 2016

Rhythm games tend to make an impression with their heavy bass beats, entrancing visuals, and white-knuckle gameplay. Titles like Rez and Amplitude work their way into our hearts and take up residence there. Drool's Thumper hopes to set up shop next to them.

Thumper features streamlined gameplay that uses one thumbstick and a single button. Despite that surface-level simplicity, Drool says that the game requires a steady hand as you'll be required to master more advanced moves as the game progresses.

There's also an "insane giant head from the future" called Crakhed. Keep that in mind while watching.
