about X hours ago from

The world has changed since XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Humanity is on the defensive, the aliens are in control, and combat has gotten much more cinematic.

In this 10-minuted video, you can check out Firaxis’ entire E3 demo. The mission puts a four-person team of XCOM operatives on a sabotage mission to dismantle a symbolic statue.

You’ll notice at the start that the team’s presence is hidden. Advent forces don’t know you’re in the area, so it’s up to you to decide when to make yourself known.

Blizzard has released more early gameplay footage for the upcoming arena based shooter, Overwatch. This latest video follows the character-morphing battlebot Bastion as he proceeds to defend the moving objective during a Payload match.

The video above demonstrates the versatility Bastion brings to the battlefield with his different configurations. Bastion is able to swap between a few different modes to best fit whichever situation it finds itself in. Its default, recon mode, allows him to walk through the level armed with a submachine gun. By using its reconfigure ability, Bastion can switch to its sentry mode. Though unable to move in this configuration, sentry allows Bastion to whip out a gatling gun and rain bullets down on the opposing team. Its ultimate ability can also be witnessed in the video and lets Bastion assume the form of a small tank equipped with a long range cannon for a limited time.

Allow Your Student To Crossdress Or Turn Him Into A Pineapple

about X hours ago from

No Pineapple Left Behind, an education management sim, parodies former President George Bush's No Child Left Behind Act by allowing players to turn disobedient or underperforming students into pineapples. Unlike humans, pineapples cannot get A's. However, they are more respectful of authority, study harder, and in general make for better pupils.

With a name hailing from a political act, it should surprise few that No Pineapple Left Behind engages complex issues like conformity and bullying. In Subaltern Games' most recent developer diary, team lead Seth Alter discusses how to deal with a crossdressing student named David. Freedom of expression prevails if players purchase and use anti-teasing lasers, a process Alter describes as "complicated, expensive, and annoying." The other option? Turn him into a compliant pineapple.

For more details on this scenario, check out the video below. If you are interested in watching the game's original trailer, we first reported on No Child Left Behind in April.

New Persona 5 Trailer Is Pretty, But Don’t Expect To Understand It Unless You Speak Japanese

about X hours ago from

A new trailer for upcoming PlayStation RPG Persona 5 has slipped out this morning. Unfortunately, unless you are fluent in Japanese, some of the impact is going to be lost.

The visuals are certainly stunning, showing the protagonists in their regular attire and mask-equipped combat wear. The in-game text is also in English, but it doesn’t convey nearly enough to know what’s going on.

New Mechanics Highlighted In Gameplay Video

Shadow Warrior 2 was only announced a few weeks ago, and already developer Flying Wild Hog has released a gory gameplay video into the world. The fifteen minute gameplay demo contains just as much demonic combat as fans of the series would expect, but also offers a first look at the open world levels and stealth-based combat new to the Shadow Warrior games.

The video above follows the main character from the first Shadow Warrior, Lo Wang, as he chops and slices his way through a demon infested town.  As you’ll see almost immediately in the demo, the linear level design from the first game is long gone.
